[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The zapper operates with a blue UV light and a "zapping" grid that kills bugs on contact. You'll definitely want to put this a bit of a distance away from you but not so far away that you don't get the benefits. This turns out to be about 20 feet or so. Bugs are attracted to the light and get zapped. It can be a little fun to listen to it run, and again, you don't want to be too close, but if you are having some bug problems, definitely need to give this a try. Solid value for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have used this bug zapper a number of nights in our back yard. Overall it is a decent product. I do feel like it reduced the number of mosquitos right around us, but didnt get all of them unfortunately. The biggest downfall of the product is the power cord is so short that no matter what you end up having to use an extension cord, which can be a pain and an extra tripping hazard. I think I would just prefer a good old fashioned tiki torch or citronella candle because they do about the same without using electricity.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worked great killing off any flying insects. We live on a lake and the bugs are usually unbearable for most of spring through late fall. This zapper really does attract them away. Is very light weight, so hanging out is worry free. Anything that kills flying biting bugs I'm happy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this is go on my back covered porch and it’s been a life saver. I’m surrounded by woods and dampness and even though my porch is screened in sometimes you still eaten alive by mosquitoes and this is the perfect size. It’s not to big and bulky and it’s not over powering with light but yet all the bugs are drawn to it. I’m am very pleased with this big zapper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The flies, not to mention the mosquitos! I needed something to knock them back so I could sit outside for a while. I think this Bug Zapper is the answer. I hooked it in a tree and ran an extension cord to it and waited for the zapping to begin. It wasn't long before it was attracting bugs and sending then on their way. Sitting outside is enjoyable again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hung this bug zapper on my porch and plugged it in. It only took a few minutes and the bugs were swarming the zapper. I only heard the grid zap one time but when I went out to the porch in the morning there were hundreds of dead bugs on the floor below the zapper and there were loads of them stuck on the zapper grid. I used the air compressor hose to blow them out and re-hung it up to start over again this evening. This is a really nice bug zapper that does its job. It's very easy to set up and should last me a couple of summers with the 8000 hour bulb. It has a really nice look and would look great hanging from a shepherds hook.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bug zapper plugs in and you can hang it or sit it on a table. It’s about the size of a gallon poring pitcher. It’s blue light will illuminate the area you are in and it’s quite over all and not like loud and buzzing when a big get in it.
Great features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Anything that helps cut down on nighttime bugs (except lightening bugs) is a win/win to me! My backyard is my oasis and nothing is worse than night biting bugs. Doesn't get them 100% but then what does? Hung mine with a Shepards hook, so I can move it as needed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] PIC Indoor and Outdoor 40 watt bug zapper is reminiscent of the classic black light bug zappers from the 1980s. It has a simple design with simple on at electrical power or off when unplugged. The zapper has a sturdy handle but a short or tension so if hanging up high one might need to install an outlet on the wall or ceiling.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in the southeast portion of the country & the heat brings in the bugs! I recently tried using the 40 watt Zapper on my back deck and was not disappointed! Easy to set up, quality made & durable. The Lure & clip is a nice feature & I am so happy that we can sit out back & not get bit by bugs! Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very good bug zapper. I plugged it in and hung it up. Then waited for evening to turn it on. The bugs loved the color of the light. They just couldn't resist sending themselves to a smoky end. This is probably the best bug zapper I have ever owned.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My home rests on a little over three acres. Partly surrounded by woods and with a bit of rain swamps. So during the late spring, throughout summer, mosquitoes can be quite bad. This year has been particularly horrible for them. I’ve never tried any type of electrical, plug in insect control. So I’m super excited to see how this goes. Also to add, my house is on a bit over three acres. Setting up was very simple. After reading the included instructions, I picked a spot in my yard, near the wood line. We had this plugged in, hanging from a shepherds hook. It is very light weight, so I didn’t have to worry about it tipping over at night. The unit seems well made, and over these past few weeks has held up great. The areas where the bugs fly in, are big enough to allow some moths and nighttime beetles in. I would still watch my younger kids around this, but I’m sure that their short fingers would not reach the middle. I’ve checked this zapper every morning, and I’m always surprised by the collection of mosquitoes, moths, and beetles we get. I unplug the unit and simply just blow the compressed air on it, and they fall off. Like I stated before this year has been bad for these bugs, and I still get a few that buzz around. But, I believe this zapper has really reduced the amount that surely would have made it into my yard and totally ruined our outdoor time. I’ll be making sure ( night time weather permitting), this bug zapper is on every night! I look forward to my bonfires and playing with my kids outside. Definitely will need to pick up another one and would recommend this product to my family and friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bug zapper really brought back some childhood memories. Hot summer evenings with a bug zapper going off in the back yard. These new zappers still have the nostalgia of the old ones and still work well. If you live in an area with mosquitoes, flies or other flying insect pests, I would suggest getting one of these.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Now that's its summer time and my family is outdoors relaxing more and more on our patio, this zapper has become such a blessing keeps the mosquitoes away and allows us a family time without the pest that used to run us back inside.
