Description
Just a bit taller and thicker than the run-of-the-mill kitchen trash bags you encounter every day, these 13 gallon black drawstring garbage bags will do a lot to make handling kitchen refuse easier than ever. If you've got a hard-to-fit trash can, the extra four inches will make all the difference. Crafted from 1.2 Mil they are strong enough to deal with the rougher side of kitchen trash (bones or sharp can lids) without suffering punctures or rips, which also gives them an edge over the average 0.95 Mil thickness. Better than those cheap Glad bags that tear by just looking at them. However the tie straps on these bag do tear off very easily. Other than that I am very happy with these bags. Much stronger than the GLAD bags that are supposedly tear proof. HA!

These are great kitchen trash bags. I LOVE that they are black. Most kitchen trash cans are black, so why would we want white trash bags clashing with the black trash can? Wish the price was more in line with supermarket trash bags... that is my only negative.

Size of this bag is just what i was looking for. Because of the extra inches... nothing tears this bag. If i needed to use this bag for storage ... i would. However... I bought this bag at a very reasonable price to put materials that will be recycled !

We have a NINESTARS 18 Gallon D shaped trash/recycle can in the kitchen. These bags are a good size for each side. I think the "18 gallon" might be the total. The bags are pretty tough, and have drawstrings so you don't spill on the way to the garage.

I have been disappointed with the bags. I like the extra length (31") and that is why I ordered them. I have used approximately 20 of the bags. I have had one bag where the ring(Strip with the tie wrap) tore loose from the bag. I have had 2 bags that developed holes/tears in them from the garbage. 90% of my kitchen garbage is Styrofoam/plastic/paper/cardboard. The other approx. 10% is cat litter in small plastic bags. (I recycle all metal). I doubt if any of the filled bags weighed over 10 pounds, when full. After the 2nd bag developed a rip the other day, I poked the bag with my finger and it went right through the 1.2 mil bag. I did that two more times with the same result. I then pulled out my old plastic .9 mil 13 gal garbage bags and tried the same thing. I could make a hole in the bag but it was difficult to do. These bags seem more rigid and not as flexable as previous 1.2 mil bags that I have used. The good part is that they are easy to double bag when one develops a hole/tear in it.
