This bag is perfect in my opinion for a 13 gallon kitchen trash can. It does have about an 3" overhang at top...this will help you in securing the closing of the bag. This bag is extremely tough...I have tested more than once not meaning to...overfilling...too lazy to take out trash. Finding a perfect size bag for your container is hard enough to find, but when you find one that is also much stronger than your expectations...BUY IT !!!

Thank you for taking the time to review with us. We find it best to use the dimensions of the can you are using as opposed to the gallon size. Even then, it can be tricky to match up the perfect fitting bag. I'm going to have a customer care representative reach out, get some more information on the can you are using and see if we can get you set up with a better fit.

We recently remodeled our kitchen and got a long & skinny trash can in one of those pull-out cabinets next to the sink. I couldn't find a trash bag to fit. The 13 gallon kitchen sized ones are too small. I was using a 50-gallon contractors heavy-duty bag, which seemed like overkill. This bag from PlasticPlace works perfectly!!!! Hooray!

They would be perfect if they had a draw string. I don't feel like they are as spacious by the time I tie them shut.

If you would like twist ties, please reach out to our customer service team and we will gladly send some out for you. If you are looking for a drawstring bag, unfortunately we do not have bags with a drawstring in this specific size.
