Q: can this be used strictly as a bed frame, with no other frame or headboard around it?

A: The universal bracket does NOT fit this bed. I bought it because I read this, and it is not designed for it; the beams are too thick. And now I can't return it because of COVID 19. So don't buy it for this frame.

The headboard bracket I mention above is actually for our 14" and 18" metal platform frames without the lumbar support instead. Q: Are these legs hollow? Are they steel? It appears they are square metal tubing, 1-1/2 "to 2"wide, with end caps on the feet. I need a frame that is no more than 11" high, so I would consider cutting the legs to make them shorter.

If you're on a tight budget or looking to use it for a guest bed, it's okay. I bought this frame in Feb 2020 and after 1-2 years it's become very squeaky when moving around but it's at least held together. You do have to be careful when relocating it as the legs can bend pretty easy. The height is solid for being able to fit items underneath.

I am so pleased with the Sensarest air mattress. I am 5'4" and 140LBS and my boyfriend is 6'4 200LBS so he tends to pull me into the middle but this air mattress kept us both on our sides and slept comfortably! I love the velveteen cover and built in pump (it even has a little compartment to hold the cord in!)

The wooden slats will not stay on the bed frame. They pop off at any sudden movement on the bed. My 3 year old (34 lbs) should not be able to knock these off underneath the bed. So annoyed. We’ve thrown the box away after assembly but now have buyers remorse on this product. Put your $$ elsewhere.

Bought this bed frame in 2017 and the legs are collapsing underneath our mattress. The metal is bending and warping. (Combined my significant other and I prob weigh 300 lbs). It’s also been horribly squeaky. Definitely switching to a wood, sturdy bed frame. NOT WORTH IT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING THAT WILL LAST.
