This was a gift. They use it in a wood stove, Wisconsin winters, should be great - timely for YEAR OF THE DRAGON

Love this dragon steamer, and it helps moisturize the air while using the wood burning stove. I did season it before using to prevent rust from forming (hopefully).

Dragon works on boiling water. Thus, when on high heat, she puffs and puffs. At low heat she obviously does not puff. Because of the amount of water in the dragon, it takes some time before she puffs. You are heating times as much water as a tea kettle. Because the water is constantly evaporating, need to use distilled water. On a given day, it can add a gallon of water to the air. Be sure to keep it filled! A tighter fit would work better. The slop means that sometimes it does not steam through the nose, but through the sides. Due to our stone hearth, the steam is not always easy to see.

Piece of junk!! A cooking pot would do a better job of steaming than this "steamer."

We bought this steamer to use on our wood stove. It's beautifully made - heavy, very clear design. However, and this is no flaw, it doesn't work with our partially enclosed stove. Too tall. I'm grieving.

This piece is a really neat accent to the wood stove in the center is the living room. A great conversation piece that also serves a necessary purpose.

This dragon steamer is wonderful! Heavy, heavy cast iron and sturdy construction. It should last forever! It is a gift, so I haven't seen him steam yet. Should be fun! Fun and Practical = Form and Function!

This is a delightful way to add some moisture into the house during the winter months. Watching the steam rise from the dragon is as hypnotic as watching the fire itself.

This dragon humidifier is the talk of our living room these days. Steam puffs out of the dragon as the heat roars on. Out of all of the wood stove humidifiers we looked at online through various companies, this one was the most exciting and well worth the little bit extra spent. Great product!

Only with an intense fire, if I'm lucky, I may see a whisper of smoke for a brief second. I wonder if mine is somehow defective as others seem to have no problems producing steam?

We love our new dragon steamer and have used it extensively ever since it arrived. It was well-packaged and arrived on time!

We are very happy with this dragon - it added instant excitement to the top of our wood stove! Very good quality. It doesn't steam a ton for us, but we also don't have the woodstove going for long periods of time. I suspect that if I put less water in it (but still enough that it would not run dry) that maybe it would heat up faster and that we would see more steam.

I love the look of the dragon, but I haven't used it on our Woodstove yet! It really will be a fun accessory in our cabin and keep the air from being too dry. Hence the 4 stars.....

I love my dragon!

The two pieces don't fit together as snug as I would like. It didn't arrive seasoned nor did it have instructions on whether you should or how it should be done. I didn't season it before I used it, and rust began to form in less than a week. I removed the rust as best I could and then seasoned it in my oven. Works ok, you have to get it good and hot and then look real close to see the steam coming out the nostrils. Could be better, it seems a little overpriced considering it didn't come seasoned. Cheap, minimal instructions.

Very heavy and sturdy cast iron, and it holds a large amount of water so it doesn't have to be filled up often. Great product and we highly recommend it!
