Plow & Hearth Umbrella Mosquito Net

I bought this earlier in the year and only set it up today 6/15/24 after upgrading our deck. The concept of a bug net that easily fits over an umbrella that I already had sounded great. Fill the bottom with water to keep in place and a zipper on the side to get in and out. As I was setting up the netting it easily hooked on chairs, the umbrella, etc. and pulled creating tears and holes. Not durable at all. A tube around the bottom was able to be filled with water to keep the netting in place. It started leaking as soon as I set it up. As I have had the product for months and it is well passed the return period. Shame on me for waiting to use.

I use them on patio umbrellas but they all leak out water and I have to hold down with bricks

We were using for an out door party in our wooded area of our property.

I use mine on my deck where there are many insects and wasps. It works great and I feel protected from mosquito bites and bee stings.

We take it camping with us. Great Ty use while sitting outside. We can enjoy our time without the bugs.

I bought this netting a while back. The summer we used it, it worked great! Only thing is the netting eventually falls apart due to the weather and hot sun... however, it worked all summer! And, for the price, I don't mind purchasing it again.

Overall, I am enjoying the spring without annoying bees & insects in the comfortable social environment.

This net is fantastic, many bug free meals this summer, HOWEVER… if you have raccoons… they are drawn to water. We have had garden hoses chewed through. At night the water tube around the bottom has water condense on it. We came out this morning and the water tube was completely torn to shreds. There were also some torn places in the netting. So… the product is fantastic, but if you have raccoons or squirrels, this damage is a possibility. PS we stretched out the ring and placed bricks around it today to finish the season. If we buy a new one next year, we will not fill the base ring with water :(

Love the white netting. Keeps the bugs away. Seems to stop the breeze though, but when there is a nice breeze, there aren't bugs. It's been pretty hot outside so haven't used it much.

Use as netting on my outdoor umbrella. It's great for colder nights as it keeps the air warmer, and it's a good bug shield as well!

We have an small outdoor pool with an umbrella, used the netting to keep out the bugs. Works wonderfully.

This is a wonderful addition for are yard.

I haven't been able to use this product yet as it is March in Upstate NY. But I am really excited to put it up when Spring arrives!

larger than we expected. A bit of a tussle to get it up but once up, it's great.

We use the Mosquito Net on our umbrella all summer. I do not like flies, mosquito or other bugs flying around while we are eating. It does the job. It is fragile though and does not like to be treated roughly. It needs to be carefully folded and put away for winter. The water tube that goes around the bottom makes the net too big to use on our deck. We do not pull it out as it goes. I usually works well for two years. Our grandchildren are not always careful and pull on the net. Not good.

This has been a terrible year for mosquitoes at my house. Everytime I went outside to enjoy the weather I have been chased inside by the mosquitoes. I decided to try the mosquito net over an umbrella near my pool with several Adirondack chairs underneath. So far I have not been bit while inside the net!

Wish Hearth and Plow offered this netting in other colors...black or tan. The white gets so dirty. Works great, would LOVE color options :)

We love to use our deck but the mosquitos and biting flies are relentless. The umbrella nest has helped immensely to control. Of course netting is fragile and needs to be handled accordingly. The most disappointing feature is the water tube meant to hold the netting away from the seating in order to have comfortable seating, it does not hold the water. Leakage starting immediately with one section even shooting water out like a sprinkler. We opted for sandwich bags filled with sand to do the job.

Covers my table and chairs with the umbrella.
