A: Hello, Thank you for your question. Due to the thickness of your carpet, we would not recommend this product as it is suitable for carpets up to 1 / 4” thick. Instead, we would suggest our Cleartex Ultimat, which is suitable for use on plush pile carpets and has a weight capacity of 250 lbs including the chair and the user. Q: Is this mat used on the carpet? How thick is the mat

A: Hi, Thank you for your question. This mat is suitable for low pile carpets up to 1/4" thick. We would recommend measuring your carpet depth using a paper clip, pushing the pin through the carpet and padding until it hits the subfloor, then measure the distance on the pin from the subfloor to the top of the carpet pile. This Ecotex Polypropylene Mat is guaranteed not to crack, chip, cup or shatter under normal use and correct application despite having a foldable line. This chair mat has been tested to withstand weights up to 250 pounds which includes both the weight of the chair and user. We also recommend only placing your office chair with wheel casters on the mat and not placing any other furniture on the mat. Arrived as a "scratch and dent" item. Did not appear to happen in transit as shipping box was in perfect condition. Assume it was packaged for shipping this way with a crack near the center fold. This is the second order from Target.com where already damaged merchandise is packaged and sent. Very disappointed. 30+ mile drive to return so just living with it.

I needed something that I could put under my sewing machine cabinet so my chair could easily roll over the low pile carpet. This chair mat is exactly right. I had looked at others that you had to roll out and put weights on so it would lay flat. With this mat you slide it out of the box and it is ready do go. I also like that the material is not flimsy and feels very durable. I am very happy with this purchase.

This was much heavier than I thought. My desk chair does not indent on a carpeted area. My carpet is not real plushy; not berber either, just standard carpet. Great quality and install is simple. Very strudy! I would definitly recommed it; works very well for me!
