Sabre Portable Door Lock: Keyless Temporary Security for Most Door Types, Ideal for Travel & Home, No Assembly Required

It was easy to install and worked perfectly. While traveling out of state recently, we were caught off guard when a hotel employee entered our room without knocking or identifying themselves. My 13 year old daughter was very upset and uncomfortable. I placed the order on the Target app and it was ready for pickup quickly. We all slept better with the lock in place.

I bought this today and I’m so happy I did! The instructions were clear & easy to understand & installation took literally seconds. I’m using it at home right now and I like that it’s also portable. I will be recommending this to everyone! Keep up the fantastic work Sabre!!!

This is great for traveling on vacations or traveling alone. I used a stick photo to show how this portable door lock is used. I have mine packed away in my suitcase for a trip I have on Wednesday . The doors in my house are 125 years old, and this lock works perfectly for me. I think I would bring this with me if I ever traveled, and I’d feel much safer. It’s easy to use, and securely attaches to every door frame I tried. It installs within seconds, and anyone can do it, no tools needed. It’s sturdy, not too heavy, and comes in a discreet bag for traveling. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to take an extra measure of security.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found the directions a little confusing but once I got the hang of it it was quite easy to use. It did not work AS WELL on my interior doors as well as the exterior one. If the door does not have a 1/8 inch gap this will not work. I do not think this is the best all around solution for travel. But it will work if it’s for an apartment where you know you have a 1/8 inch gap.

I haven’t been able to overcome it yet, so it may be. It works very well, and honestly, I ordered a couple of these after testing them, because I’m impressed, to say the least. There are some instances where I travel solo and I always am vigilant about my surroundings. Even so, I’ve become more aware that even if you lock your doors, it’s not a fool proof guarantee that someone couldn’t elude the locks and let themself in. I’ve always wanted to try a tool like this and was excited to get selected to test it out. Here are my thoughts. PROS: -Lightweight and compact design makes it easy to pack for travel -Comes with a black travel bag to store it in when not using -Easy to install — even on my first try. The packaging contains images and instructions on the back to walk you through the steps. -Customizable for most doors that open inward. -Sabre’s trusted reputation for self defense and safety products -Very effective tool that’s lo-fi — I tugged with all my strength but door did not budge. CONS: -If you door has a large lock box on the inside where you are installing, you will need a narrow tool (I used a butter knife!) to access the release button. Please see my photo of the product installed for an example of my door. -Not a con, but a suggestion — would love to see Sabre develop additional colors and prints to make the tool stand out more. I gave 4/5 stars due to needing another tool to release the button, but overall solid lock!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was confused by the instructions so I don’t know if I installed it correctly. But it popped right off when I tried to see if it was secure. I am going to travel a lot this summer so I’ll try it again with a hotel door, but for my home I won’t be using it as it feels less secure with it than without. It does come with a travel bag which will be nice for my suitcase so it won’t tear my clothes while packed. I received this free in exchange for my honest opinion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a handy little device if you want a little bit more protection while traveling. It is easy to install and comes with a pouch to store it in. If installed correctly, it manually blocks the door from opening. I only wish that the entire body was metal. The plastic block seems like it would be easy to break with a good kick to the door.

We took it with us and used it at the hotel we were at and it worked great made us feel safe! It’s very sturdy I’d take a lot of force to get past that thing IF they could!
