About the Book
"When the owner of the local flower shop in Rome, Kentucky, makes a questionable agreement with a tattooed bad boy, a delightful friends to lovers romance begins to bloom-from the author of When in Rome and The Cheat Sheet. Annie Walker is on a quest to find her perfect match-someone who nicely compliments her happy, quiet life running her flower shop in Rome, Kentucky. Unfortunately, she worries her goal might be too far out of reach when she overhears her date saying she is "sounbelievably boring." Is it too late to become flirtatious and fun like the leading ladies in her favorite romance movies? Maybe she only needs a little practice...and Annie has the perfect person in mind to become her tutor: Will Griffin. Will-the flirtatious, tattooed, and absolutely gorgeous bodyguard-is temporarily back in Rome, providing security for Amelia Rose as excitement grows for her upcoming marriage to Noah Walker. He has one personal objective during his time in town: stay away from Annie Walker. But no sooner than he gets settled, Will soon finds himself not only breaking his rule, but tasked with far more than simply providing security. Will wants no part in changing the sweet and lovely Annie, but he can't bring himself to say no to her request, so he officially agrees to teach her how to be the next leading lady of Rome, Kentucky, and find the love of her life-even if he doesn't believe in love himself. Between faking a relationship so the meddling town doesn't catch on to what's really happening on their practice dates, and tutoring lessons that convince Annie to add passion to her list of must-haves in a mate, it doesn't take long for the lines of their friendship to blur..."--Book Synopsis
A small-town sweetheart and an emotionally unavailable bad boy try to find some common ground in this chemistry-filled romance from the author of The Cheat Sheet and When in Rome. Annie Walker is on a quest to find her perfect match--someone who complements her happy, quiet life running the local flower shop in Rome, Kentucky. But finding her dream man may be harder than Annie imagined. Everyone knows everyone in her hometown, and the dating prospects are getting fewer by the day. After she overhears her latest date say she is "so unbelievably boring," Annie starts to think the problem might be her. Is it too late to become flirtatious and fun like the leading ladies in her favorite romance movies? Maybe she only needs a little practice . . . and Annie has the perfect person in mind to be her tutor: Will Griffin. Will--the sexy, tattooed, and absolutely gorgeous bodyguard--is temporarily back in Rome, providing security for Amelia Rose as excitement builds for her upcoming marriage to Noah Walker, Annie's brother. He has one personal objective while on the job: stay away from Annie Walker and any other possible attachments to this sleepy town. But no sooner than he gets settled, Will finds himself tasked with helping Annie find the love of her life by becoming the next leading lady of Rome, Kentucky. Will wants no part in changing the sweet and lovely Annie. He knows for a fact that some stuffy, straitlaced guy won't make her happy, but he doesn't have the heart to say no. Amid steamy practice dates and strictly "educational" tutoring lessons, Annie discovers there are more layers to Will's usual stoic attitude. As the lines of their friendship become dangerously blurred, Annie reconsiders her dream guy. Maybe her love life doesn't need to be perfect--it just needs to be real.About the Author
Sarah Adams is the author of When in Rome and The Cheat Sheet. Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, she loves her family and warm days. [RECOMMENDATION] If you want a romance that is quick, fun, and oh so cute! You'll love Sarah Adams. [SYNOPSIS] She's the small town sweetheart, and he's the emotionally unavailable bad boy. (Do you need more? Fine... if you do >) Annie wants to find someone who fits into her peaceful little life, running a local flower shop! However small town means... small dating pool. After a recent date calls her "boring", she decides she's the problem. "Hi, I'm the problem, it's me!" Well problems need solutions, and Annie's solution is a little *practice*. And who better to practice with than someone who she'd never fall in love with?! Will is hot, tattooed, and only in town temporarily. He wants zero attachments to this sleepy little town, and although he has no desire to help Annie change (he thinks she is fine the way she is), he can't help but say yes. Enter: fake dating, steamy practice dates, intense chemistry, blurred lines, and kicking your feet giggling moments [REVIEW] This romance is my bread and butter. I always eat up what Sarah Adams writes, it's so much fun - and exactly what I am looking for! She kills it with the chemistry, and I love me some fake dating scenarios.

Loved the book, but didn't realize I was supposed to read When in Rome book first that comes before this one. Will have to buy that one next to read, since I really enjoyed this one. It has a nice small town appeal to the story. First book I've read by this author and now I will be shopping for more of hers.

Sarah Adams is the Queen of writing Rom-coms. This book was so good, and I stayed up way too late reading it. I loved Annie and Will and their chemistry and how their relationship progressed. I can't wait for the next in the series and I hope Adams never stops writing!

As soon as I heard Annie was getting her own book, I knew I had to get my hands on it. I didn't think I could love the town of Rome more than I did after the first book, but Sarah proved me wrong. I enjoyed getting to see more sides to this kooky town and the family I loved so much from When In Rome. Annie had already been my favorite character in this little town and I spent the whole book wishing more for her. I'm so glad we got to see her blossom and have her first taste of love. Of course, adding the sexy bodyguard to the mix doesn't hurt this story. I feel like by the end, Annie got everything I hoped for her and more. Between her trying to find love and learning to stand her ground, I just love her character even more. I can't wait to see what comes next for these characters.

I couldn’t put it down. I adored Annie and each of the small town characters that loved her so much. I hope they make a movie and Zac Efron plays Will in the movie version, that’s who I envisioned the whole time. This was a sweet story, a fun and easy read that definitely left me smiling. This was the first book I’ve read from Sarah Adams and it certainly won’t be the last. Truly loved her writing style and character!

Sarah Adams does it again!!! I've loved all her books, and this one is no different. I wasn't sure I could love this as much as "When in Rome" but I did! Will and Annie are so cute. Their "practice sessions" were so fun and Will did such a good job of making Annie feel comfortable and open up. I loved that he was so clearly already hooked on her from early on. I love love love when the MMC is a goner for the FMC. This is another one of those adorable, feel-good, heartwarming quick reads that Sarah is so good at delivering and it was exactly the read I wanted and more. Thanks to NetGalley and Penguin Random House for the eARC!

To say that I loved this book would be an understatement. Will and Annie definitely made their way in to my top 5 fictional couples for 2023. This book was feel good and heartwarming in the best way. It's a dual POV romance that you do not want to miss. I loved how this book completely whisked me away to small town Rome, Kentucky. So many parts of this book will be living in my memory completely rent free because Sarah Adams knows how to write adorably captivating content. I felt like I was there with Will and Annie in the grocery store throwing Imodium in each others basket. I was sitting at the table right across from Annie when she observed John's phone call. I feel like I stole a few of Annie's steamy pirate novels too... they are most definitely not in a box under my bed if anyone's reading this. Don't look there, you won't find them. Practice makes perfect has been one of my absolute favorite romance books I've read this year. I would and will recommend it to pretty much anyone that will listen. Everyone needs a "touch her and die" romance featuring a good girl and a hunky tattooed bodyguard in their life. This is a hill I will die on. Please read this book if you like: -Small Town Romance -Touch her and die -men with good communication -good girl/bad boy -Tattoos -Laughing until you wheeze -books that you wish could go on forever Sarah Adams couldn't have said it better when she dedicated this masterpiece to the softies, the tenderhearted sweeties, and the introverts who are afraid to shine. This book is the one you didn't know you needed but you absolutely do. I can't wait for my physical copy to arrive. I had to pre-order it IMMEDIATELY. Thank you so much NetGalley, Sarah Adams and Random House for the ARC of Practice Makes Perfect in exchange for my honest review.

Shiver me timbers Will and Annie are perfect for each other in Practice Makes Perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed this book by Sarah Adams. We meet shy, introvert and good girl Annie wanting to find her happily ever after, thinking that is what is missing from her life. In comes the dashingly handsome bodyguard Will, (he reminds her of the pirate heroes from her books) who is against serious relationships and gets pushed into helping her by teaching her how to date. Love that they were friends and became more over time with great dialogue and interactions. You had instant attraction between them but you get the warm and fuzzy feelings as they learn more about each other. A funny and wonderful written book set in a town with quirky characters that look out for their own. Hilarious moments throughout the book with various characters. Will Annie figure it out that it's not her on the date but rather who you are with that makes it perfect? Will Will change his mind about relationships before it’s too late? This book will touch the heartstrings of romcom lovers and fans of classic romance movies with a twist and some spice. Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this for my honest opinion.
