Q: How much fiber is in a rice cake? The label indicates 0 grams (ZERO GRAMS) while the details says there are at least 9 grams of whole grain.
submitted by need2no - 4 years ago
A: The serving size for rice cakes is much smaller than foods usually used for comparison. For example, one cup of cooked rice may equal between 180-200 grams compared to the 9-15 grams in a single rice cake serving. Fiber is listed as "not a significant source" because there is less than 1/2 a gram (<.5g) of fiber per serving.

I use these in many ways, mostly as a snack with a teaspoon of peanut butter. Love the taste and they are good for me.

It's a satisfying snack. If it's too bland add your favorite toppings. I like it plain. There used to be a cereal called "Puffed Rice" - or was it "Puffed Wheat?" In any case it reminds me of the taste.
Seal the package that has the date.

Date says best before May 15, 2025. It is Feb. 17, 2025. They are stale. You are really lucky to ever get a package where they are crisp. When they are crisp they are great. The package needs to be sealed so the packs inside cannot be swapped out. Or put the dates on the 2 packages inside. Dates don't mean anything when the package can easily be opened and the undated packs inside can be swapped out. That is the only thing is can think of way they have good dates but are old. I have had too may that are old.

Rice cakes crumbling

I have purchased lightly salted rice cakes for years, and since December, 2024 the rice cakes that I have purchased have been falling apart one taken out of the package. They are crumbly and you can't spread anything on them without them breaking apart into small pieces. I am wondering if something has changed in the way they are making or packaging them for the rice cakes to have such a significant change in quality. Every rice cake in the bag has crumbled.

The best simple ingredients. these are way better than chips. They are crunchy salty and they have a great texture. They pair well with yogurt, honey smashed blueberries and or thin slices of ham or prosciutto.

From reading and comparing the ingredients list to the flavored ones, this is the best to buy and then add my own natural ingredients. I love this with my peanut butter and jellies. Less carbs and calories with an extra crunch! I wish they make them thinner, but this is still the best in the market.

I have been a loyal customer of the Lightly Salted Rice Cakes for years. I have tried numerous other brands at higher & lower price points and always come back to Quaker; however the quality and inconsistency of this item continues to go downhill while the price point rises. I’m not sure why the thickness and smooth texture on each side cannot remain constant but Please address these issues ASAP so I can remain a dedicated customer.

I sweated all night with a fever from my allergic reaction but I wasn't aware I was allergic to anything. I would like to know the ingredients to grasp what I was allergic too. It's so disappointing as well I loved the taste of them with the blueberry jam

Curbside pick up: First half was great, second half, somebody smooshed them all and I didn’t notice until I opened it. Works in my favor though, sprinkle some in your cereal, yogurt freaking great topping or even snack like popcorn lol
