A: Dear Dfhawk24. This is a telescopic rod. Therefore, you can adjust the length from 28" to 48". There is no need to saw this rod.

Q: The instructions for anchor seem faulty. 3/16" is too small for the anchor to fit. Had to use the next size. Struggling with the anchor too much could deform it. Better update the instructions

A: Deej1014. Is it possible that you are extending it further than the maximum width? With this type of telescopic rod you need an overlap. For the 24" - 48" rod set. The actual rods are 25.5" each. You need a 3" overlap for this telescopic rod to be firm.

faulty wall anchors... i had a horrible time trying to get the drywall anchors in the wall. they simply fell into the wall. never had this happen before with drywall anchors. use different drywall anchors if you go this route! left a lot of unsightly holes in the wall to the fault of the hardware. :( very expensive to justify the purchase as well.

It cost me a lot of time trying to use the provided wall anchors to install the rods. I finally realized the anchors were constructed with an obstruction mid way the length of the anchor, so there was no way a screw would go all the way into the anchor and be flush with the wall. I ended up using my own wall anchors. The 2 pieces of rod do not fit together snugly, so the rod sags in the middle. One of the pieces is much smaller than the other. I thought I would solve the sagging problem by purchasing the 48 - 84" rod, but it is not in stock in stores. Do not waste your time and money on this rod!

Technically a “cafe rod” but works great for lightweight, sheer panels too and much lighter than standard rods. Also looks nicer than plastic rod and works well. If you cannot put screws in wall, Command Strips makes curtain rod hooks that work well with this!

For the price, this was worth it. But as a college student, this was my first time buying curtains and I will definitely invest a little more money into them next time around. While assembling you can tell that it’s a cheap product and will likely need to be replaced eventually. I’m unsure if it would hold up curtains that are a little heavier.
