About The Author
Brendan Deneen is the author of the graphic novels FLASH GORDON: THE MERCY WARS, THE ISLAND OF MISFIT TOYS and PHOENIX (co-written with Jim Krueger), among others, as well as the novel THE NINTH CIRCLE and the upcoming novels ANT-MAN: BEGINNINGS, UNDERHILL, and THE CHRYSALIS. It's pretty action-oriented and great for kids of varying ages! I.e.: families with bigger age gaps between the Littles and the Big kids. It's not the best book we've ever gotten, but it's engaging enough that it keeps getting reached for. I took off one star because it didn't really feel like a story, just a bunch of fighting pictures. Colorful & stimulating but maybe a little too fiesty for a bedtime story. But we still seem to frequently read it!

Target advertised this book as being hardcover, and I ended up with a board book. So, other than needing to change the description of hardcover to board book, I have no complaints. It's a cute story and the illustrations are colorful and done very well.
