Q: For the QUEEN, what's the vertical measurement from the base (slats) to the bottom of the headboard? I have a 17.5"-tall mattress/boxspring combo and want to make sure there's no gap between the mattress and headboard.

Very solid sturdy bed. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because of the instructions. Horrible instructions and none of the pieces or screws are labeled so you have to kinda figure it out as you go. Definitely needs a box spring to make it taller. But I knew that buying it

I have had this for a month now and the bed is sturdy. It comes in one box with the pieces tucked in the back of the headboard. There is some work to building it but easy to follow directions. I panicked that it would be flimsy on the side where the two bed frame boards meet but with everything put together and setup it feels sturdy. The headboard is a gorgeous gray with a little design and then black nail heads. It is nicely padded to lean against.

The quality is really nice, it was easy to put together (did it by myself in about 1.5 hours). The only thing I didn’t like that felt a little flimsy and would make the bed harder to move is the slats. But that’s just a personal preference. I think it’s a great bed and great value!

This is a great bang for your buck. I put this in our guest bedroom, set the box spring and mattress on, and dressed it up with pretty white linens for a nice clean, finished look. The bed was well-packaged and easy to put together. It is sturdy, doesn’t wiggle or wobble with use, and looks smart. Our guests are enjoying it. My sister just ordered the same bed for her guest room.
