About the Book
This practical handbook equips current leaders to mentor emerging leaders in character development.Book Synopsis
We've all seen it before--experienced leaders failing due to some type of transgression. Author Tom Yeakley believes this happens because character flaws that were always present begin to come forward. Based on his 30-plus years of discipleship and coaching experience, Yeakley has developed Growing Kingdom Character to help current leaders challenge emerging leaders to intentionally developing their character. Teaching, exercises, and Bible study make this practical handbook a must-have for those involved in mentoring young leaders. The fruit will be integrity, maturity, and wisdom in a new generation of leaders. From the Back Cover
Most leaders fail at the pinnacle of their influence, not because of a lack of leadership skill but rather due to character flaws. It's character--not years of experience--that counts for lasting leadership impact.Drawing from more than thirty years discipling and mentoring emerging leaders, author Tom Yeakley has written this hands-on tool to equip current leaders, especially young leaders, to intentionally develop positive character traits for sustainable leadership influence.
Teaching, application exercises, and Bible study on ten essential character qualities make this practical handbook a must-have for those involved in discipleship and mentoring. The fruit will be a new generation of Kingdom leaders who lead with integrity, maturity, and wisdom.
