If I could give this zero stars I would. The vinyl sticks to the transfer tape. It is very strong I will give it that but WAY too strong. Messed up my project and couldn’t even use. This is horrible stuff! I wish I had read the reviews before buying.

Hi Court! I am so sorry to hear you did not enjoy the strong grip transfer tape. What material did you use it with? The strong grip is made to be used with vinyl that has a textured finish, such as Glitter Vinyl, Shimmer Vinyl, and True Brushed Vinyl. I am so sorry to hear this did not work for your project, the strong grip is made to work with textured vinyl such as the glitter vinyl or shimmer vinyl - it may be to strong for other materials. This transfer tape is meant to be used with vinyl that has a textured finish, it can be a bit too strong for regular vinyl. Way WAY too strong. It refused to let go of the vinyl. I used cricut brand vinyl and cricut brand transfer tape thinking “gotta get the brand name stuff!”… big mistake.

It feels wrong complaining that this transfer tape was TOO strong, but it literally won’t let go of my vinyl to let it adhere to what I’m putting the vinyl on. I’ll have to redo my vinyl, and buy a different transfer tape.

It really is strong grip! Even a little too strong for some vinyls. But it definitely gets the job done so that’s why it still gets 5 stars. Just be careful using it on more delicate applications!
