About the Book
Every seven years, the Agon begins. As punishment for a past rebellion, nine Greek gods are forced to walk the earth as mortals. They are hunted by the descendants of ancient bloodlines, all eager to kill a god and seize their divine power and immortality. Long ago, Lore Perseous fled that brutal world, turning her back on the hunt's promises of eternal glory after her family was murdered by a rival line. For years she's pushed away any thought of revenge against the man-now a god-responsible for their deaths. Yet as the next hunt dawns over New York City, two participants seek her out: Castor, a childhood friend Lore believed to be dead, and Athena, one of the last of the original gods, now gravely wounded. The goddess offers an alliance against their mutual enemy and a way to leave the Agon behind forever. But Lore's decision to rejoin the hunt, binding her fate to Athena's, will come at a deadly cost-and it may not be enough to stop the rise of a new god with the power to bring humanity to its knees.Book Synopsis

Review Quotes
"Lore kept me awake far too many nights, needing to know what would happen in this ruthless battle between hunters, impostors, and gods. A brilliant and breathless twist on classic mythology!"
--Marissa Meyer, #1 New York Times best-selling author of the Lunar Chronicles --
"An epic from start to finish. Bracken deftly weaves a rich tapestry of new mythology steeped in ancient, time-honored legend--a story of power and old wounds and love, all anchored by a protagonist that I cheered from the instant she appeared, fists ready and heart brave, on the page. A tale worth passing down."
--Marie Lu, #1 New York Times best-selling author of Warcross -- "Lore takes classic mythology and gives it a dark and deadly spin . . . I can't wait to see what happens next." --Amazon Book Review

Good characters, great idea, but for some reason it felt very repetitive when I was reading it. Not a bad book by any means, just needed a little extra something….

Do not buy this book unless you want to read about babies and toddlers being tortured to death. This author is sick. I will never read another book from her again. The worst part- the killer of children gets full redemption in the end. I hate this book.

Absolutely breathtaking. Bracken delivered a marvelous tale of passion, action, loyalty, defeat, and victory. I am in complete awe of her writing style, the character development, the mostly accurate portrayal of Greek Mythology, and the plot line. Each line was highly quotable, each sentence of dialogue was either distressing or heartwarming, and this story is a spectacle. I won’t give anything away, but I can genuinely say that this will be one of the best books of the year, and we’re only in January! Bracken is spectacular. This book is beyond amazing.
