This was the first book I have read like this with 3 short stories in it. All three stories were so good! I was able to finish the book in 3 days despite the numerous interruptions from my children.;) All were suspenseful with a side of romance. This type of book is the perfect way to check out new authors. Now I have three more authors with great series to add to my must read list.:-D

The heroines are all strong, independent ladies but yet approachable and down-to earth. Looking for suspense in small doses? Then this is a must read for you. On the Run – Daria Nevsky works for the FBI. Someone wants her dead. Can she figure it out before they succeed? Deadly Objective – When the vice president’s son is threatened, physical therapist Emily Dixon and Secret service agent Liam Harper work together to keep him safe. Caught in the Crosshairs – CIA officer Claudia Gallegos walks into a murder scene. With the help of PSYOPS officer Ari Blackman they must figure out who is responsible and the motive. This book is a must-read for fans of romantic suspense! Three amazing authors of this genre share stories that are exciting, inspiring, and totally satisfying. There's action galore, heartwarming romance, and the faith elements that these authors are known for. The characters are memorable, and I loved that each author chose one of their secondary characters from their current series to become a central character. This allowed me to gain deeper insight into that character but it's also the perfect way to entice new readers to want to read more! Targeted is a wonderful choice for anyone who enjoys books by Lynette Eason, Lynn H. Blackburn, and Natalie Walters. It's a great romantic suspense collection! I don't usually gravitate to novellas but once we start approaching the holiday season and my reading time becomes a bit more limited they are my go to choice. Targeted contains three separate stories from three of my favorite romantic suspense authors. Each story is fast-paced and easy to get through in one sitting. Even though my time was limited I found myself wanting to continue when I came to the end of each story. One of my favorite things about this book is that each individual story is pulled from a storyline in a current series. The main character in the novella is a side character in the series so it's fun to find out a little bit more about what's going on in the background of these series that I have completely enjoyed. Do I think that you need to have read each individual series before you read this collection of novellas? Nope, nope, nope! Just pick it up and enjoy it. There might be subtle references that you don't recognize, but it will not matter in the least. Of course you know that I always think that if you can, read all the books! I received a copy of this book to facilitate my review.

Targeted features three romance suspense novellas by three well-known Christian romance suspense authors. These include Lynette Easton, Lynn H, Blackburn, and Natalie Walters. Each story is very short and therefore the plot escalates very quickly, sometimes a little bit unrealistic, but still enjoyable. If you’ve read any of the books by these women before you might recognize the familiar characters. I thoroughly enjoyed each story. They were entertaining and engaging. This is a fantastic novel containing three such stories. Each is gripping and intriguing with the FBI, Secret Service and CIA. I thoroughly enjoyed Targeted. I was given a free copy from the publisher for my honest review, which I was happy to do. I recommend!

Targeted consists of three novellas which are not connected in anyway but the fact that they are suspense. I love all three of these authors so when I saw them all in the same book I was excited. Since there are three different stories in this book, I am going to review each one separately. On the Run by Lynette Eason is the first novella in this novel. The suspense starts from the first page in this novella which I appreciate since novellas are short. I am also excited that at least a small portion of this story takes place in North Carolina. There is definitely a puzzle to figure out with this plot. This one read quickly and had short chapters. Deadly Objective by Lynn H. Blackburn is the second novella in this book. Unlike the first novella, this one builds to the suspense which starts with the last sentence of the first chapter. It also has short chapters which is typical of novellas. I enjoyed the romance between Emily and Liam. They have a way of introducing humor to lighten an intense situation. I also think that Mason, the son of the Vice President, added his own humor to the story to break up some of the suspense. Caught in the Crosshairs by Natalie Walters is the third and final novella. The suspense in this one was pretty much between the first and second novella in that it didn’t start on page one but it started well before the end of chapter one. Even though this novella also has short chapters, they seem longer to me. I think it is because so much happens in each one. Ari and Claudia play off each other well in this book and seem to have a love-hate relationship. Overall, I would definitely recommend this collection of novellas. It has something that will appeal to anyone who likes suspense or mystery with some romance mixed in. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher.
