Also and perhaps more importantly, I've had this less than a year and it already broke. The piece of plastic on the front of the filter with the company name on it came off and several small holes formed so anytime I use the filter water shoots out directly. This product is poor quality.

Q: After the green light flashes 6 times to indicate the filter is active, is the light supposed to stay on with a steady green light while using the filter? (Which is how it's depicted in the picture).

Q: I bought this filtration system and a 3-pack of the RF-9999 replacement cartridges. The cartridge that came with the unit fit snuggly, the RF-9999s fall out and do not seem to be filtering anything.

Have had this for less than a year and the light in it died. I didn’t know the light would eventually die and according to the manual, the filter has a non replaceable battery in it so after the light dies it’s useless. The water will still filter, but the whole reason why I bought this specific faucet mount was for the light purposes to tell you when to change your filter. Very incredibly poor planning/designing on Pur’s part. I will not buy another just to have the light working again.

It is important to note that this system is only compatible on standard faucets only...not the typical pull-out faucet that is found in many kitchens. With that being said, I had to install in a less than ideal area to test this product. Each filter lasts roughly 3 months, so be aware there is some maintenance to upkeep. The filter can be turned on or off, depending on your needs. It is reassuring to know that the filter is working to keep lead our bodies.

After running the water for half an hour, the filter starts to work and gave the water taste which is better than the chlorine taste. I only drink from the sink now and it has saved me trips and time from going out to refill water. The water quality is great and I do recommend it.

Not only does it make my tap water taste so much better, but it also gives me peace of mind knowing it's removing contaminants like lead and mercury. The Mineral Core technology is a nice touch because it keeps the healthy minerals in the water, so it doesn’t taste flat like some other filters can make it. It was really easy to install, and the filter change indicator is super helpful. I don’t have to guess when it’s time to replace the filter, which is a plus. It lasts for a good amount of time too, about 100 gallons, so I don’t feel like I’m constantly changing it. The water flow does slow down a little when the filter is getting close to the end of its life, but that’s pretty minor compared to the overall benefits. I’m really happy with how it’s improved the quality of my drinking water.

I'm impressed because my water conditions are horrible, so I'm wondering how long it'll be until I need to replace the filter. It's been 3 weeks and it's still going strong! I love how easy it was to install, it came with directions so I could do it myself! The only thing I wish I could change is that it's a little bulky in size, but I've gotten use to it. I live the led indicator showing me when the filter needs changed though too! Such a great affordable product and it keeps water bottles out of the landfill! It's a win win!
