  • A: This confusion is created by Pur company intentionally. The excuse of the reformulation does not stand up. You should have change the name with the new formula to "Pur Less". Shame on Pur.

While our CRF950Z pitcher filters prioritize microplastic filtration, they do not remove lead. However, effective August 1, 2024, our PUR Plus lead-reducing filter (PPF951K) is back on the market and certified for 99% lead reduction.   • A: This is really disappointing. Why should we pay the same price for a product that does less? Some of us have pull down spray nozzles and can't use the faucet filter. It makes me want to switch brands.

Q: Why change the filter to no longer filter lead and then come recommend a faucet mount when clearly most common faucets these days (ie, with sprayers) are not compatible w/ a mount? I'll take slower.

Filter stops working after 1-2 weeks!

Stops working after 1-2 weeks. What happened to PUR??? Last couple years I've had horrible experiences with their filters and I've been using them for over a decade. Sick of spending money on OEM filters that aren't working.

Avoid pur

The filters get clogged or they just have no flow to them. We re-soak the filters to help it. We notice the filters don’t last as long as they use to. Not the filters but the pitcher’s light doesn’t go off anymore and not even a year having a new one after the 1st one’s nozzle broke. This is not a good quality company anymore😢

Don't waste your $

Bought these since they’re suppose to be a better at removing lead , mercury and microplastics compared to basic filters. These do not work! Purchased 3 pack to supposedly last 6 months. Thought first filter was defective but all of them have had the same result. These get clogged after one week of use. Did the whole shaking, and re-soaking and still has not helped. Will not buy again.

Microplastics removal

Researched this brand and model replacement filter based on taking out microplastics, arsenic, etc..it does. I hope they continue improving this filter if it is able to take out the PFAS chemicals in our waters. There are lab results based on my comments. Removing pollutants mentioned are more important than better tasting..your organs will thank you.

fishy smell

I was using this type of filter for few years. Last box, water smell fishy and if especially if you cook the water. Tried two same. Purchase another box from Amazon just to make sure it was not bad batch. Same smell. Seem like PUR changed the material. So I have 6 filters (opened 4 to test) and two still wrap but can't use them.

Disappointed

I made sure to get the ones that say Genuine on the box, but I can smell and taste chlorine in the water. I don’t like the taste of the water, but I’ve used this system/brand for a long time and it didn’t used the be bad. Also now I’ve got a calcium buildup in my kettle, which didn’t used to happen either. I am going to switch to a different brand.
