Q: Is this PUR Plus Water Pitcher Replacement Filter - 3pk WQA Certified to filter lead? If so, why is it not labeled on the pack as with your older packs?

submitted by martin1223 - 3 years ago

  • A: So do your filter pitchers once again have an option that filters lead?? Now I see the image of the box mentions lead filtration and I see that on other websites selling a lead filtering pitcher.

    submitted bymikazuki81 - 2 years ago

  • A: This confusion is created by Pur company intentionally. The excuse of the reformulation does not stand up. You should have change the name with the new formula to "Pur Less". Shame on Pur.

submitted byOnlyLogical - 3 years ago

  • A: Does this fit the standard 11 cup Pur Pitcher?

submitted byNatalie - 3 months ago

  • A: I’ve tried 2 of this filter and both of them filtered water extremely slowly after a week of use. I shake them but nothing changed. What’s the reason and how it can be fixed?

submitted byAmy - 2 years ago

  • A: We apologize for any confusion. Effective August 1, 2024, our PUR lead-reducing filter (PPF951K) is available and certified for lead reduction. If you have further questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com. We’re happy to assist

Q: hello Pur I have been dissapointed that it was this difficult to realize after finally finding Pur Plus filters, that they are a lesser product and do not remove lead. please advise what has changed

submitted by VV - 3 years ago

  • A: Thanks for the information that Pur no longer provides the filter I want for my pitcher. I will pitch it and get a new pitcher from a different company.

submitted byDonald - 3 years ago

  • A: Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. We apologize for any confusion regarding the availability of our lead-reducing filters. While our CRF950Z pitcher filters prioritize microplastic filtration, they do not remove lead. However, effective August 1, 2024, our PUR Plus lead-reducing filter (PPF951K) is back on the market and certified for 99% lead reduction. We also recommend our faucet mount filtration systems for lead removal. If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact us at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com.

Q: You do not sell reduces lead anymore?

submitted by martin1223 - 3 years ago

  • A: This is really disappointing. Why should we pay the same price for a product that does less? Some of us have pull down spray nozzles and can't use the faucet filter. It makes me want to switch brands.

    submitted bymikazuki81 - 3 years ago

  • A: Thank you for your inquiry. Our PUR faucet mounts are still certified to remove lead, along with 70 other chemical and physical substances. We want to assure you that effective August 1, 2024, our lead-reducing PUR filters (PPF951K) are back in stock and available for purchase. If you need any further assistance, please feel free to contact us at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com.

Q: Why change the filter to no longer filter lead and then come recommend a faucet mount when clearly most common faucets these days (ie, with sprayers) are not compatible w/ a mount? I'll take slower.

submitted by KT - 3 years ago

  • A: Thank you for your inquiry and for bringing this to our attention. We understand your concerns regarding faucet compatibility and lead reduction. Please note that, effective August 1, 2024, our PUR lead-reducing filter (PPF951K) is once again available and certified for lead reduction. If you have any questions or need assistance finding a product that works with your faucet type, our dedicated support team is here to help. You can reach us at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com for further assistance.

Q: Do these filters filter out rust from well water

submitted by Ali - 10 months ago

  • A: Thank you for your inquiry. PUR PLUS filters are designed to reduce chlorine, mercury, and certain other contaminants, but they are not certified to remove rust or sediment from well water. Great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m very happy with this Pur Plus water filter. I used to drink bottled spring water so it took me a while to get used to the taste of filtered tap water. Also, it feels much softer/smoother. I am happy with this change as I don’t need to carry water bottles home anymore from the supermarket and can reduce my exposure to microplastics as well. It seems to be more economical too as a filter can last many weeks.

We've been using it for several weeks and it has made a BIG difference in the flavor of our coffee and other beverages, since we switched to using water filtered through this amazing tool! Be sure to buy extra filters, so you always have a new one on hand! Highly recommend!

Super simple setup for a filter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This replacement filter is the easiest thing to replace when it comes to my PUR dispenser. The directions are very straightforward. They show images on what to do and literally it takes 10 to 15 minutes to soak the filter and a quick rinse and it’s ready to go. I also love that it’s pretty quick to dispense my water right after replacing my filter. The packaging of the filter is not too hard to open which I do appreciate but overall highly recommend!

Clean Water Filter, Easy Install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Pur Plus Water Pitcher Replacement Filter with lead reduction is very easy to install. First you soak it in water for 15 minutes and then you run water thru it for 15 seconds. Then it fits into the pitcher by screwing it by hand into place. Be sure to dump the first pitcher of water that goes thru the filter. I had no side leaks of water from this Pur Plus filter. I am pleased that it came with a static cling sticker to remind me when to replace it in two months and a coupon for my next filter with a long expiration date. I really like that the filter has NSF/ANSI certifications and is 3rd party tested so that I know I am getting wonderful, clean water. This filter fits my 30 cup pitcher and lasts two months which means it has a large capacity. I am happy knowing that this filter is silently purifying my drinking water.

Great tasting water

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy instructions - soak, rinse, insert, twist and you are done!! The water tastes great, too. Is seems like a slow filter but in a good way, like it is actually filtering the water and not just zipping it through like my previous filters (different brand). Highly recommend!

Amazing Filter!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a nice filter that really helps with cleaning up the cleanliness of the water. Easy to install and comes with a how to on how to properly use before installing. Having to use and clean for a time before using in the pitcher. It eliminates the odor of chlorine and makes a clean and crisp taste. And can last depending on how many cups of water you get.
