Description
The 100-Hour* Ultrasonic Cool and Warm Mist Humidifier guards against problems caused by dry air in the home. It is ideal for use in medium and large sized rooms. Unlike other humidifiers that grow slimy mold on the water tank surface, Silver Clean Protection is embedded in the tank to fight the growth of mold and mildew on the surface of the water tank. Thanks to ultrasonic technology, it disperses a cool mist into the air, and is ultra-quiet making it ideal to have on while you sleep. This top fill humidifier has an optional aromatherapy tray so a few drops of essential oil can be added to create a relaxing atmosphere.The humidifier is equipped with a night light and 3-speed mist control. A low water indicator light lets you know when it's time to refill the water tank. PureGuardian humidifiers create a better home environment for those suffering from colds, allergies and dry skin. Note: Run time is based off of running the unit on low speed, also depends on atmospheric conditions. PureGuardian aromatherapy oils are not included and must be purchased separately. Do not add oils to the humidifier tank as they can damage the humidifier and void the warranty. Only add essential oils to the pad that is included with the unit. Additional essential oil pads are available separately.

A: Distilled or demineralized water has less mineral content than regular tap water. When used, these water types make your humidifier less likely to expel white mineral dust into your indoor air – and less likely for that dust to invade your lungs. Distilled water is a cleaner alternative to tap water. You can also use filtered water if that is your preference.

Q: we have a water softener attached to our water lines. all our house water is softened. will this be better for the unit since it isn't hard water? Also, is this quiet enough to use in the bedroom?

A: The unit is very quiet. Even with a water softener, you may find that a decalcification filter or distilled water will be needed as the unit can produce a white dust from the minerals/softener in the water.

A: The warm mist is just slightly warm. The water temperature will not exceed 80 degrees inside the unit and cools rather quickly by the time the mist is released.

A: We recommend only using genuine replacement pads, part number FLTRP12, as we are not sure the size of the pads and cannot guarantee they will fit or work properly.

A: The humidifier is filter free. We do offer a decalcification filter if you should notice a white dust, and that should last 2-3 months.

I have other products by Lasko, which prompted me to select the Guardian Technology humidifier. I was rewarded with a perfect unit; true to the description, each asset is functioning properly, and believe me, I had a list of requirements. The two tower heating units I bought almost two years ago are working steadily again through the coldest nights here in the California winter in a 100 + year old home. I have birds susceptible to drafts but I know they’re safe with a trusty heater nearby. The same for myself - I can’t risk illnesses because I’m older and depend on my heaters to work consistently, and of course, quietly and economically.

I've only had this humidifier for a short time, but i really like it. And the feature it comes with are a real plus, timer and aromatherapy tray are really nice and work great. I love it. Used the timer and the aromatherapy a few times. Love it.
