A: It’s designed to clip to the cover of your book. If it’s not hardcover, then you may need to clip the last few pages as well. Hope this helps!

Did not work out of the box. Pressed the button and nothing happened. Did not have the right sized (tiny) screwdriver to open the battery case, so could not even try to change the batteries. Will return with disappointment.

I love that it uses AAA batteries instead of those expensive button batteries. I also love the dimmer feature. The flexible neck is slightly short and I would have rated it 5 stars if it had been just 1/2” longer.

This is an awesome book light. I needed one while out of town and after looking at all Target sold, chose this one. What a great light! I have another light that is similar but it is not bright and awkward to use. This one is the total opposite—light brightness is adjustable and it works great to shine light on both pages and is not awkward. This is the book light to get!!! Battery is still going strong after several months of use so far.

I had this book light for about a year and, while I originally loved it, when I went to go replace the batteries after the included ones died, the book light started smoking and got extremely hot to the touch. I tried multiple batteries to make sure that it wasn’t the batteries causing the issue, but the book light would consistently reach the brink of catching fire. I hope I received a dud, but be aware that this reaction could be something that occurs if you purchase this item. I’m disappointed that I will have to throw this book light out because I did really enjoy it when it wasn’t trying to spontaneously combust.

Far too bright. Taped a folded post-it twice over and still too bright on lowest setting. Light is too blue for evening viewing. Batter compartment is too bulky. Light controls are backwards. It should be hold for on/off and momentary press to cycle through brightness settings. Instead your playing a game of timing to guess if you can get the lowest brightness setting. Doesn't recall last setting either.

Ordered online and picked up at my local Target store. Tried turning it on following the simple directions, but it did not turn on. I doublechecked to make sure batteries were included, and the packageing said they are. Tried again to turn the light on to no avail. Decided to change the batteries to see if it would work then. I attempted (strained myself) to unscrew the teensy screw - fortunately I own several teensy screwdrivers suitable for the task - but I couldn't unscrew it because it was so tight.

Doesn't work properly less than 2 months later

This light started shutting itself off after being bumped slightly after about a week of use night reading. After less than two months, it now shuts off after 15 to 20 seconds. It's not usable if it keeps shutting itself off. It's also after the returnable date, so I can't return it for warranty. This is a gigantic waste of money for less than 2 months of use.
