Q: Does this require a bite to get liquid through the straw?
A: Thank you so much for your question, Katie. The straw does require a little pierce of the lips on the straw in order to get liquid out. It helps with preventing any leaking.

Q: If my toddler turns it upside down will the liquid come out of the straw?
A: Our proprietary straw has a teeny built-in silicone shield to prevent leaks when on its side or upside down. Happy sipping!

Q: What is the diameter of the straw?
A: The silicone portion is .44" in diameter and .49" at the base near the lid. The PP plastic straw inside the cup is .42" Hope that answers your question!
