A: Hi - this lamp uses one one maximum 150 watt standard-medium base bulb. You can use an LED bulb if you wish, or a CFL bulb, both of which will be energy efficient. Thank you for the question.

Q: What does "Adult Assembly Required" mean? How much assembly is necessary?

A: Hi - because this is an electrical light the Target site shows it as needing "adult" assembly. There's not much to the assembly. You have to assemble two sections of pole to the base, then add the shade and bulb. Hope that clears it up and thank you for the question.

A: Hi - no, this design does not have a 3-way socket that uses 3-way bulbs. It has a socket that will accept up to a 150 watt standard-medium base bulb and is controlled with an on-off rotary switch. If you are looking for 3-way functionality with this lamp, we'd suggest using it with a cord line dimmer. Doing so will let you set the light output at whatever level you want. Hope that helps! I like the overall look of the lamp. The only thing that would make it better is a three way switch. The delivery came when it was suppose to and it was packaged very well. I'm very happy with the lamp. I would recommend it for purchase.

The replacement harp (larger) does not fit. Need to return lamp to store for a person there to find a harp that fits or get the one you provided to fit. New shade is expensive but perfect.

We had a pair of swing arm floor lamps. One of the swing arms broke. (These lamps did NOT come from this company.) This lamp that we purchased blends well with our other lamp. We've only been using it for less than a week, and time will tell how durable it is. Otherwise great lamp for a good price.

I was able to assemble this lamp by myself (78 year-old female) in less than 30 minutes. It stands straight and has a base sturdy enough not to wobble on carpeting. It is well weighted and perfect for my reading corner. The brass is antiqued and I couldn't be happier with my online purchase.
