To me, it's a beautiful set of finely embedded and monogrammed silverware. They aren't made of heavy, precious metal, but are very good quality. I love the elegance of each piece, and contrary to many reviews I read before purchasing this set, the pieces ARE adequately sturdy. Knives are heavier, but I pushed on the spoons and forks and they surely won't bend during normal use! They stay strong when cutting meat (and the knives are quite sharp, by the way) or eating regular icecream (I haven't tried scooping completely *frozen* icecream though, because... what's the point?!). Also, spoons and forks are very smooth in the mouth. Some of the Service pieces are a little smaller than I expected, but they actually are for individual serving. So overall, I'm really pleased with this purchase!

I purchased these for my daughter's bridal shower. Just like the set we had while she was growing up. The initial "M" was very plain compared to other ones and was not impressed with it. I noticed some scratches on the butter server knife that were raised and pointed that would have been an issue on a fork or spoon. It would have cut a lip. But I got 2 sets so I just will tell her not to use that one.

Looks very nice. Will look great laying out as a place setting. People have commented about it being lightweight. Are they planning on scooping ice cream and such with them? They are not made for that. That's what they make ice cream scoops. I've put these in the dishwasher and had no issues.

Anyone complaining about the quality has serious issues. It's a $30 flatware set for Christ's sake! The set is unbelievably beautiful and decent quality for that price. It looks like they might scratch easily and the small forks in particular are not the strongest but they won't bend either and the larger pieces are much stronger. CANNOT beat it at that price point!!! Very satisfied. Looks and feels much more expensive than it was. Nicer than most of the Oneida sets you can find on sale for twice the price.

Bought 2 sets 30 years ago that feed a family of 5 and not one piece ever broke!!! After losing so many pieces through the years we've just bought another set to replenish for the holidays.

instead I received 46 pieces of individually wrapped utensils that were crammed into a small box. I had intended on giving this as a Christmas gift. It's just a pain that I have to come up with an alternate way of wrapping and gifting them. On the plus side, they are a very nice set and they appear sturdy, which is the main reason I bought them.
