Rockland 178L Rolling Duffel Bag

I was blown away by how ginormous this bag is, how much can be packed into it, and the heavy fabric it's made from. That was until I tried to stand the bag up and wheel it. This bag was so heavy, so unwieldy, and so unbalanced that it was extremely difficult to move it. As soon as you let go to try to stand it up, it fell right over onto its front. It was only about 80-90% full. I tried to take out a few of the heavier items from the side pockets, thinking it was throwing the bag way off kilter, but it was not any better. Back to Target it goes.

The size of the bag is perfect, however, the quality is extremely poor. The first time the bag was used, just rolling it from the door of the house to the trunk of my car put holes in the bottom of the bag. When I went to lift the bag out of the car, one of the straps ripped off. Extremely frustrating, as I had high hopes for this bag.

Airlines have a checked bag size of 62 inches. This bag is 73 inches. Do not buy this if you're hoping to check it on a flight.

Used it once the metal handle broke.

Not disappointed, lots of room and everything I was looking for. Highly recommend this.

This is a huge big bag. It is perfect to use on Mission trips which is what I bought it for. A bag this size that is also sturdy and can stand up to multiple trips is a wonderful bargain for the price paid! This is the third one I've bought and we love these bags! They are easy to pack and easy to roll through the airport.

This bag is huge!! I was actually intending on buying something for weekend trips for me and my husband to use together, this is more appropriate for about a week long trip for us both. I'm not mad about it, it's just not what I thought I was getting. It will be great for beach trips or trips where we may need to pack a couple jackets or different shoes. It seems to be great quality and I love the different zipper pockets on it. I'm impressed with it for the price, I'll probably end up buying a smaller weekend appropriate size in this same brand.

It has good skateboard all terrain wheels and after some street lugging keeps spillable items inside from spilling. The zippers are easy to zip and stay in place. It has a shoulder strap, handlestrap, drag handle, and retractable/concealed hard plastic drag handle. You can fit your entire closet in it. But because of this it is unsightly clearly an obese person's body double in all eyes so being seen with it is prone to judgement. It has a hard particle board base with hard rubber stair slides (3) and the whole thing may worry most of unsturdy construction. It has an awkward center of gravity with the particle board base (would be best with firm cushion base), and is best suited for a traveller with a vehicle, cause it is mosdef a trunk piece. If you don't overload it, it will fit in an overhead compartment. But at baggage check if your not being closely monitored ya know just pretend to check the measurements and be like aloud "ok it fits." Technically it won't but you can hog one full overhead anyway. If Rockland will just change that particle board base to firm cushioning theyd have a 5 star winner. With particle board i can't handle carry it cause ill be slamming my leg constantly with painful hard wood, and i cant shoulder strap it cause ill bang up my leg or cut up my back with those slide feet.

This is a exact replacement that worked well for many years of multi day Bike Rides and seasonal Camp/Fish Trips.

It is so well made!! The bag ended up a little big for what we needed so I gave it to my daughter & her husband. I found out they are fighting over it. My daughter sells Premier Design jewelry and she does a lot of online selling but when she goes to give a party she can load a lot of the jewelry samples in the bag and with the rollers w/handles it makes it easy to take into a home/building. My son-in-law coaches all different kinds of sports for our local high school and wants to use it to carry equipment in. Hopefully they will order another one so each has one. I have given them the information so they can order one; the price is so cheap right now--what a buy.

So far the bag is great. My husband loves it. Some of the other reviews make me a bit nervous though since he will be taking it on a trip out of the country. We'll see how it holds up. I'm praying it will work just fine. He LOVES how much space it has and all the pockets it has!

Very spacious, plenty of things can fit in, less heavy than most mobile duffle travel bags.

This bag is huge! I bought tow of these to pack for a mission trip. They are working perfectly for this purpose. I'll follow up when we return to post a second review, detailing how well they held up.

I had purchased 3 of these bags for my grand kids. Out of 3 of these bags 2 of the bags zippers broke while on vacation. Since we had to fly back home we had to find rope to tie two of the bags close, this was not a good experience what so ever since we had to go threw costumes. I would not recommend this bag just because out of three bags two stopped zipping.

Alot bigger that expecte. Worked perfectly for our month long vacation.

Used once and strap broke. The price says it all, it's a cheap buy.

My wife and I love sitting on Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, HI. To really enjoy the day you would do well by renting a couple chaise lounges and a beach umbrella - that will run you $60 for the day. OR you could take two folding chairs (buy them for $27 each plus about $35 for a good umbrella) plus the umbrella and put this stuff in the 40" rolling duffle, along with beach towels and water shoes and off you go to the beach. Spend the $60 on fun stuff instead of renting chairs and umbrella.
