The stools look great but the wood was SO hard the screws stripped before we could get them in all the way. I had to return them.

These were such a pain to put together. The Allen wrench it comes with disintegrated and the screws were just as bad. I had to use pliers to unscrew one of them bc it was sticking out and wouldn’t go in any further. I had to use some other screws I had that were much better. Not worth it at all.

These stools are perfect for our small kitchen island! Love the color and how sturdy they are.

I wasn't really expecting mortise and tenon joints and amazing quality for $40 but, seriously, the screws were terrible! The metal is either too soft or the hex is the wrong size. I stripped out two screws on this thing. One of them when the screw was half way in so I had to drill it out. Apparently, they know just how bad the screws are because they give you a spare. If you do buy this I recommend using a wordworker's trick - put a little bar soap on the the screw threads. This will lubricate them and require less force. These are one of the cheapest stools I could find so it does seem like a pretty good value. I neither recommend for or against. If you want low cost, this is it. But make sure you lubricate the screw threads.

I’m not really sure how this got so many good reviews. The screws are impossible to tighten without stripping them. Out of the eight screws needed for the spindles between the legs, I couldn’t get a single one to actually tighten all the way. Liked the design but the hardware was terrible.

I bought this stool for my sewing machine. So far it’s worked wonders and matched perfectly with my sewing table. It also fits right under it for storage.

I would love to give this an all-star review. The stools are comfortable, sturdy, and exactly as pictured, with one exception--the little plugs included to cover the screws holding them together are all different "wood" shades! While it's not a huge deal, I find that I can't keep from my eyes zeroing in on them (and there a lot on each stool!). I'm going to try coloring them with a stain pen and hope that will work. Giving the design only two stars because the plugs are so dumb.

Sturdy, easy to assemble, good looking counter stools to compliment our existing counter stools. They store easily both under and along side the counter taking up minimal space. But when needed for extra guests, they are readily available. Much better idea than the bulky folding counter stools!

I love this stool. We use in our kitchen as a bar stool. My toddlers climb up it, it gets banged around... holds up nicely! Very sturdy.

Product arrived well packed -- well protected against damage in shipping. No parts were missing. Assembly instructions were clear enough for a first-timer to follow. Finished stool looks just the way I had imagined it would, thanks to the online illustrations that persuaded me to buy it. One tip I might offer is to "pre-drive" all the screws first -- into the four saddle mounts, and into each end of the four struts. That way the screws will be already tapped and easier to drive during assembly. The screws take a 4mm hex wrench, which is provided, but which at awkward angles is hard to turn with enough torque to drive the screws. But pre-tapped, the screws twist in easily, and assembly can proceed without frustration.

I have 3 of these stools at our island in our kitchen. They look great and serve their purpose well. I feel they are sturdy and not wobbly at all. Some of the pieces that fill in the holes didn't fit well but they look fine without them.

So far, so good. They were pretty easy to put together. I will be using this as extra seating at the island when I have a lot of family or Girl Scouts visiting, so I haven't sat in it much. But it seems comfortable enough for that use. And they look pretty nice.

We use them daily and we have to tighten then Daily. I'm not sure if these were design to just be a show piece instead of a functional piece.

Very happy with the bar stools. Easy to assemble - if you follow the instructions! The underneath side of the seat is rough but easily smoothed with sandpaper. reat product for the price.

I think these are great for the price. They seem sturdy once assembled, and are a great clean solid wood finish. Assembly was a little involved - mainly because I ordered 3, which is why I gave 5 stores.
