Description
LEAD IN DRINKING WATER TEST KIT – WE TEST YOUR WATER AT OUR LABORATORY.
We understand the importance of ensuring the safety of your water supply, which is why we offer testing at our EPA-certified laboratory that goes beyond what standard at-home (DIY) test kits can provide. With our 2-in-1 lead in water test kit, you can gain a complete assessment of lead levels in your water, covering both dissolved lead and solid lead.
Why settle for partial results when you can have the whole picture? Our lead in water test kit is designed to give you a 100% total lead analysis so you can make informed decisions about your water quality. We don’t stop at merely detecting lead; we also pinpoint its source, whether it’s originating from your plumbing fixtures or your water supply.
We value your convenience and provide free return shipping for your water sample, to our lab. Simply follow the instructions to register your test kit online and pay your lab fee. Then, securely package your water sample, and send it back to our laboratory for testing. You can expect a standard turn-around of your test results in 5 business days (after we receive your water sample). You can also select “Rush” testing and reporting (2 business days), by paying an additional “rush fee”. Your results will be conveniently made available to you and will be downloadable through your account 24/7.
In this comprehensive kit, you have options: We can test the lead in two water samples, from two different locations, or we can test a “first-draw” sample and a “flush draw” sample from the same location. First Draw vs. Flush Draw allows us to determine how much lead is in your water supply (if any) vs. how much lead is being leached from your plumbing fixtures (if any). In any case, our goal is to ensure that you know how much lead is in your drinking water. We also explain things like Maximum Contamination Limits (MCLs) and Action Levels (ALs), set by the USEPA, for human consumption. You might ask, “why does it cost so much for lab testing”? To earn and keep our drinking water certifications, we must pass annual performance evaluation samples, and testing. To participate in this high-level of testing, we must be certified by 3rd-party/independent agencies (state departments of health via the USEPA). They certify our scientists, our lab equipment, our testing procedures, and methods. This ultimately certifies our laboratory. Your samples are tested by our team of scientists, many of which have elevated degrees in various science disciplines. In other words, it costs us a lot to provide you with the very best in certified laboratory testing. The good news is, you get what you pay for…EXCELLENCE.

We have used the Safe Home DIY lead in water kit, but we wanted to know the exact amount of lead in our drinking water. This kit was recommended in Popular Mechanics magazine, so we thought we would try it. Glad we did! Easy instructions and it explains how the kit gives different results for lead coming from our water supply vs. the lead being leached from the pipes in our home. The only reason I gave it 4-stars instead of 5-stars, is the fact that it is pricey. I guess this kind of testing costs more to do in a laboratory. I will say the customer service was great when we called to speak to the Safe Home staff. They were very helpful with our questions.
