The Grow & Go Extend N Ride falls under the classification of a Convertible Car Seat. Convertible Car Seats are not designed for strollers due to notable features such as: non-detachable bases and larger structure. They are not as compact and easy to manage as Infant Carriers. Convertible Car Seats typically remain in the vehicle, while the child is transported in and out unless the seat needs to be installed in a different vehicle. We’ve had these car seats for a year now, and I wish we could still return them. It’s very difficult to install this seat without it moving so much. We’re forced to install over and over to reduce the amount the car seat loosens. The push button to release strap length has already broken on one seat (purchased two). The pull strap to tighten is very tough to pull on both seats. Honestly I would not recommend this product. You’re better off with something else.

This Grow and Go Extend N Ride, LX by Safety 1st is truly an all-in-one convertible car seat that grows with your little one. This seat has two cup holders plus a snack holder that can easily be cleaned, along with an adjustable footrest for added comfort. (While i think the footrest is a neat feature, it did not fit well in our car unless the front seat was really far up.) This car seat can be used rear-facing mode, forward-facing mode, and booster seat mode, and includes lots of detailed instructions and pictures to help you get the best fit. The seat's headrest moves up or down to adjust the height and harness, which is a great feature, and the front buckle can be easily adjusted as well. The entire pad comes off fairly easily for washing and has specific instructions, and the cushion itself looks and feels very comfortable. My 3.5 year old is now forward facing and seemed to enjoy the seat, but was most excited about the cup holders and snack tray. Overall, I feel like this is a great seat that transitions as your child grows for a maximum of 10 years and installing it is quite easy.

I have loved safety 1st's products for a long time. I was struggling with my youngest being rear facing because she was out growing her seat and then I got this one and it is just absolutely amazing! She has so much room to grow and when it's time to forward face her it will be just so good for her! I highly recommend this car seat to any new or seasoned parents! 100% worth it!

As a mom of 3 I wished I would have had this car seat with my first! I love how easy the transition is from baby to big kid. My daughter just moved up to the booster seat. One of my concerns is the safety from car seat to booster it makes me nervous when I have to make that transition. With this car seat I feel confident that it's safer than most boosters. Plus my daughter loves the adjustable footrest for her dangling legs!

The seat is easy to install and easy to adjust. Very comfy and I love the snack and cup holders. It's pretty bulky, so older kids may prefer something lower profile. My 90th percentile 2½ year old is still within the rear-facing limit, but he won't be for long, because of his height. For taller kiddos this may not be a good option for extended rear facing. I think my son will make it to right around his 3rd birthday rear facing in it. Then he'll have to be forward if still using this seat, but he should have quite a while that he's within the harness limits. Overall it's a great value for the amount of time it can be used. The manual has easy to understand instructions for how to remove the cover to wash it, which is very handy.

As a parent of a two year old, one of the most important investments for my child has been her car seats! When looking for the perfect car seat, these are the criteria that must be met: first and foremost, safety! quality construction, overall comfortability and easy to maneuver between two different cars. This car seat meets all of these points and more! And it looks extremely stylish in the process! Even my daughter is always so excited to get into her car seat when it's time to get in the car which should show you how awesome this thing really is because what kid is ever excited about getting in a car seat?!? Lol Overall this is such a high quality car seat and features some great additions like the adjustable foot rest and the two cup holders, one of which is perfect for holding snacks! It also is very comfortable, provides incredible protection and best of all it's one that will grow with her since kiddos are forever growing, so having something that will last her for the years to come is awesome and definitely worth the investment!! The only negative thing I can possibly say is that it is pretty large in size, because once again it does grow with your child so even a four year old will be able to fit in here, so it is a little more bulky in the car than other car seats I've used BUT with that being said it still provides everything I want in a car seat and more and I'm absolutely happy with this and would recommend it to anybody in the market for a new car seat!

Best kids car seat in the market. Had a different one that was using from my previous kid but my younger son was getting dizzy and vomiting every time we use that one. As soon as I put him with the safety 1st grow and go extend N ride the motion sickness and constant vomiting were no more. Love how sturdy, comfortable and how easy to use this kids car seat is. Would definitely recommend it to anyone to get it over any other brand that is over price and don't even offer what this one those. My kid loves the snack tray on the sides and the cup holder, but more that it has a place for him to rest his feet and feel more ccomfortable. This would be a game changer for anyone looking for a baby car seat.

I received this carseat as part of a review program. As a comparison, I have been using the Graco Extend2Fit 3-in-1 carseat and will compare the Safety 1st carseat to my Graco one. First of all, the Safety 1st carseat has an additional section of lumbar padding that I think makes it more comfortable for my toddler. Before we installed the carseat, he kept wanting to sit in the seat at home. Secondly, the footrest allows for a higher vs a lower footrest, so if your toddler wants their feet straight out, that's possible, or if your toddler wants their feet dangling, that's possible with this carseat as well, whereas my Graco only extends straight out. There are not as many reclining positions for the carseat, which was a downside, because my toddler loves napping in the car. I do appreciate that the cup and snack holders on the side require a safety lock to remove, so that they can't be easily taken off and thrown around, unlike the Graco ones. I'd say all in all, they are very similar, but this seat has the additional lower footrest and also lumbar support.

Ok first off I am impressed. I love the design and comfort of this car seat. It grows with your child and will support from infant to child booster. It has 2 cup holders and one with cover. It has a feet stand too which is great for kids to keep their feet. The built is very nice and comfortable.

I received this complimentary to review. This is a cool car seat. I really like the footstool feature and I think it'll definitely add value once my little one is long enough to use it. I like that this car seat is convertible so I can use it as a booster seat as well. Though it is a little bulky I like the ease and use of this, didn't take much to set up the car seat for the first time. Not much that I would change for this. Good product!

This product is perfect! After my son outgrew his infant carseat, I wanted an easy-to-install and simple convertible seat. I love how this has the extendable footrest. It's going to be easy to clean which is an important factor for me. I like how it can remain rear-facing for up to 40 lbs.

CONS: locking/secure mechanism is outdated and does not have modern latch system. foot rest could be a little cumbersome because it takes up a lot of space.

My initial thoughts are the quality seems good and sturdy. My 15 m/o son was not fussy of squirmy so it seems to be comfortable for him. Admittedly we have only had to opportunity to use it on a few short rides as it is a third vehicle car seat.(primary two cars have graco 10 seats.) I am exited to see how it adapts as he grows. The quality does seem higher than my other two seats. Only complaint is that the anchor points are not as universal/versatile as other seats i have used.

This by far is the best car seat I have tried for my child. I love the reclining options for backwards facing and the positioning for the forwards facing. It comes with three cup holders and the headrest raises to fit your child's specific height. I would highly recommend this car seat to anyone that has an infant toddler or to use as a booster seat !

This is a wonderful car seat. I love that it goes from the newborn stage all the way to the booster phase. I am currently using it in the 5 point harness stage, forward facing for my middle child, but I converted it to the rear facing stage for my youngest as well. It is super easy to install and adjust. I love that it doesn't have to be re-threaded to adjust the height. The cushioning is very soft, and I've had no complaints from my kiddos. Highly recommend!
