The Extra Dark Roast, and French Roast are my favorite coffees. Smooth, not bitter and my daughters, who seem to drink a lot of coffee - of different types, varieties and flavors - repeatedly tell me that I make the best coffee! So I thank SF Bay for that.

Please, SF Bay, offer more than one variety of extra dark whole bean coffee. Although the French Roast dark and the Fog Chaser, Rainforest Blend, Espresso Roast, and Scandinavian Blend medium dark are delicious, the Italian Roast extra dark is the best.

Nice deep flavor. Quite often, I make a pumpkin latte with my coffee. I heat milk, coconut sugar, pumpkin spice blend, real vanilla, and about 1 tsp. of organic pumpkin puree on the stove and then froth with a whisk. Delicious!!! Most of the time, I also make it half caff with SF Bay's Decaf French Roast.

At my age, I've been around long enough to have tried probably hundreds of different beans from different companies all over. I used to drink all kinds of different beans/roasts/flavors. But, now I'm pretty much stuck on dark roasts. The others seem to be too bright for my tastes, anymore. I love the dark, smokey flavor of my coffee. I also love a dark roast that's smooth, not bitter. And, Extra Dark Italian from San Francisco Bay Coffee is one of the TWO products I can't live without. I have a local roaster that has a very dark roast, that is very low acid and the smoothest coffee I've ever had. But, I like to switch around and having this one from SFB coffee is a must. This is the coffee you want if you like to add a cream and have that beautiful mix of flavors together.

As advertised. It's dark. Like black hole, deep cave dark. On the verge of burnt dark. If they would have roasted them for 30 more seconds they would have been carbonized. Deep dark, smokey coffee, rich but right on the edge of being burned. If you want dark SF Bay has you covered.

When my wife and first tasted this coffee it was at a restaurant in Truth or Consequences, NM. We had never tasted a better coffee. We inquired as to the brand and name and they told us it was your coffee. We ordered it when we returned to Minnesota and have not stopped since. Unfortunately, we have never come close to duplicating the taste.

My husband, Michael is always in search of the best whole bean coffee. For several years he has enjoyed Olde Brooklyn whole bean French roast and Italian roast. After experiencing the SFBay Extra Dark Italian whole bean coffee, he has found a new favorite. Michael only grinds enough beans for one pot of coffee and seeks the boldest, most robust brew possible, never altered with milk, cream or sugar. The SFBay coffee was very fresh, with dark, glossy beans and yielded the most flavorful, strongest brew he has ever experienced. He has not yet tried the French roast whole bean product from my order, but is looking forward to a similar, very satisfying cup. thank you for a superior coffee product, Yvonne Dahl
