Just completed assembling this bike for my son's birthday gift. The instructions are difficult to follow, and I began to realize the assembly instructions were meant to be more than one model. As for the quality, it has some scratches already, and part of the branding is deformed. I have a foam protector but it doesn't seem to fit the bar, so it's useless. I'm sure my son will like it and I don't expect it to be his forever bike, so I'm okay with the purchase overall.

The front tire came off missing wheel baring

My 5 year old was riding this bike when the front wheel came off causing him to fall and break skin. He got this bike for his birthday in April and all of sudden the bike fell apart. The wheel baring just fell out while riding! Very scary and glad he did not need stitches

As almost all the other reviews mentioned, the assembly instructions are absolutely useless. I ended up finding a video on youtube to help me figure out how to finally put this thing together. I also ended up having to remove the brakes just to be able to get the front tire on. The seat seems extremely uncomfortable as well, which is incredibly disappointing since Schwinn used to be a name that meant quality and reliability.

This was very easy to assemble and took about 30 minutes. Not sure why others had problems - and NO, the handlebars are not backwards! You loosen the top bolt and they flip down to install on the bike. They are packed in that position to fit in the box!!! My grandson is going to have so much fun with his new bike!

Bad directions

Nice bike once you realize the directions do not match the bike itself. Pretty much had to put it together by just guessing because the directions were way way way off. Maybe an older version? schwinn needs to do a major update for the directions and make it user friendly… and correct. Otherwise it’s a good bike.

it was easy to install as breaks where all set up. size is perfect based on specs. colors are nice and bright. pedals turn nicely. I couldn't get the plastic face on the handles. not a big deal. wish it had a kickstand as we are not using the training wheels.

Two Left Pedals

The bike came with two left Pedals-- and the one that says "right" won't screw properly because its really a left. My son is crying now at 9 pm at night - wanting to go to Target and get a new bike. So disappointing. I should have read the reviews that have endless comments about missing parts. Target please assist us in getting the right pedal.
