Q: My height is 5' 9", will this bike fit me?
submitted by LW - 1 year ago
A: Yes it will trust me I’m the same height and it does fit.
submitted byTaco Dan - 10 months ago
A: No. A 15 inch frame is too small for you. Bike fit is determined by frame size, not wheel size. You probably need a frame size of around 17" for a mountain bike.

Q: How many mph does this go? What is the maximum?
submitted by Lauren - 1 month ago
A: Hi, thanks for your question. However, this is a 21-multispeed mountain bicycle. It is not an e-bike and does not have electric or power assist components. Thanks!

We purchased this for our 11yo son for his birthday in May. By the end of the summer the back rim was bent and the brakes would not work properly. Unfortunately, the only thing the manufacturer warranties is the frame. Not worth the money. Spend the extra $ and purchase a good bike.

I live in California and I went into my store to buy this bike, no pick up, I just went in and bought it then rolled it outside. I bought the display model which looked nice and well kept, the employee I talked to was friendly and helpful, they took 10% off because the tires were a little scuffed. I rode the bike home that night and then again to work the next day, and then again that night to get home. This bike rides like a dream, Real smooth like I'm floating. I was surprised to see Schwinn selling mountain bikes at Target, wasn't sure at first but this feels like a Real quality Schwinn bike. My ONLY gripe is that this website said there were 2 RED units left IN STORE and that there were NO BLUE units left at all. To my surprise, my store had NO reds left and only 1 blue display aha funny cause I wanted the blue one anyway soo lucky I guess. Overall GREAT bike so far.

I’ve purchased this bike twice and still have no bike. The first time I went to get it they said the bike person did not build the bike. Give it few days and order it again. Call before coming in. I ordered the bike again. Called the next day numerous times. Finally got someone on the phone. I asked them if the bike was ready. The person was very rude and persisted to say that if it says it’s ready then it’s ready even after I asked her to check for the physical bike. I show up to the store again just to spend an hour wasted and to be told the bike still had not been built. The manager gave me some gift cards to use towards the bike whenever it was to be ready. He also gave me his personal number and promised to send pictures once the bike was done. It’s been like a month and still no bike. I texted asking the manager if I can just buy it and build it myself. The manager has stopped responding. I took another visit to the store to see what’s going on and a manager told me they had just hired a bike builder and would have the bike ready by mid week. It’s been about of week or 2 since I was told that. And still no bike. This has been a very frustrating experience. Especially considering I don’t live close to this store. I also purchased a matching dog carrier to match this bike and I haven’t been able to set it up due to not having the bike I ordered to go with it. I’ve tried reaching out online and that customer service was no help at all they just told me the bike was sold out and that’s why my order keeps getting canceled. Even though I was told numerous times that the bike was in the back with a note on it to be built.

The instructions to put this bike together don’t even match the product. Then the brakes were rubbing and the chain kept falling off. Disappointed. My son was so excited and then had to get off of it every 2 mins to fix the chain.

#1) buy it unassembled and have a bike shop put it together or as I did, bought mine assembled and had a bike shop "tweak" it. #2) although it is labeled a mountain bike, this bike is not good for rough treatment. You can jump curbs with it but not ramps or small cliffs. #3) as with your car, you'll need perform routine maintenance on it. (I did every 3 months ) clean and oil the chain, tighten bolts, and tighten the brakes, blow the dirt/sand out of the moving parts or pay someone to do it. #4) I've had mine for 3 years, I've put enough miles on it to reach San Diego, CA from Tampa FL., I've replaced 1 chain and 1 set of pedals. I'm happy with it.

Purchased one and the back gears wobbled making the chain skip. Returned to a different target because they had one in stock. That one did the same thing. Not sure what the deal is with Schwinn but the quality is not good.

Beware if you buy this bike. We went to our local Target and they informed us they can’t sell pre assembled boxes of the bike anymore due to legalities. They insisted we take the display model. We were fine with that. We confirmed that the display model wasn’t defective or returned, which they said was not the case. I paid for the display model and as we were taking it to the car, the front wheel was wobbling and completely misaligned. We have worked on bikes most of our lives and knew it was a defective piece and not fixable. In addition, the lock stand was definitely used before as there was paint chips and scuff marks. We turned around in the parking lot and took it right back into the store for a return. The girl working the register was there when we checked out with the bike just a few minutes prior. When we explained the situation, she had the audacity to say “well I don’t see what’s wrong with it, you’ll have to show me so I know why you’re returning it. It looks fine to me”. We then sat there for ten minutes and proceeded to go into detail about the front tire being completely misaligned…I as a CUSTOMER felt like I was being interrogated for a bike I had literally bought FIVE MINUTES BEFORE. Target should be ashamed of themselves.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received this bike, I was surprised by the amount of assembly! I've never assembled a bike before, so I had to call in a friend with more experience. It definitely takes 2 people! This bike is perfect for the big hills in my region, and I can't wait to test it out at the park. So far it's very comfortable. I only wish it was just a bit lighter weight and easier for transport. I can't complain though - this is a very basic, sturdy bike and will be perfect for my leisurely needs around town.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bike is awesome. Not only does it look amazing, it is quite rugged as well. The tires are larger and with the tread well suited for rough terrain, like trail riding. The pedals glide smoothly as well. The seat is pretty comfy, but it did take a little getting used to as I have not ridden this much in a long while. Overall it looks sleek and rides like a dream. I did have some issues putting it together. Mainly the pedals gave me some trouble. I had to have my husband put them on for me. Everything else was pretty simple and took like ten minutes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my husband put the bike together for me and it took him about 45 minutes. He is not a very skilled man, so I didn’t think that was too bad. Once I got the gear set for my ride, it was an easy ride. There was a slight clicking noise, but we figured out how to fix that quite quickly, and now it makes no sounds. I love the large and wide wheels, and can’t wait to use this on some of the trails nearby. The color is absolutely beautiful and I like that my husband can also use the bike. The seat is easy to adjust and is actually one of the more comfortable seats I’ve sat on for a bicycle. I’m very excited for warmer weather so we can take this bike to the rail trail near our home and ride bikes with our children.
