A: Thank you for your question regarding the Sealy Safety Case Protective Crib & Toddler Zippered Mattress Encasement. While this crib encasement does not have a breathable layer, it does zip on for use under crib mattress pads and sheets and protects against allergens, dust mites, pet dander, and other microbes.

A: Hello Autumn, the SafetyCase measures at 52" x 28" to fully zipper around USA standard size crib and toddler bed mattresses. If your crib mattress dimensions are 37" X 24", the SafetyCase will not fit. Thanks for asking!

Q: I have the same question as Amanda. How thick of a mattress was this encasement designed for? I assume it wouldn't be way too loose for a thinner mattress like she described, but it's nice to know before buying!

We would highly recommend the Sealy encasement cover for your baby/toddler mattress. We bought and used this on our first child's mattress years ago. I know other mattress encasments have that same material a lot of the time to make it fully water proof, but I also have had some that that are much softer feeling and not noisy and are still waterproof. Other than the material, the product itself seems to be sturdy and made well. If the crunchy material bothers you, I would look elsewhere.

I love that it is zipped on so I don’t accidentally pull it off everytime I change the sheets! I like knowing our baby’s bed is protected from any allergens and bed bugs. I know it helps maintain the quality of our mattress and keep our baby safer and healthier. It is a waterproof material but it is soft and stretchy so you can easily get it around the mattress and it doesn’t make a crinkly noise or anything when rolled around on. We put an additional waterproof mattress pad and sheet right over it easily. This is a great addition for any crib or toddler mattress!

I'm sure this is a fine product if you DO NOT PUT IT IN THE DRYER. The tag says it can be dried on low, but I completely melted two of these using the lowest setting on my dryer.

Doesn’t fit despite my Mattress being within guidelines. It’s short by a solid 2 inches. Maybe it’s because my mattress has square corners? Not sure. Annoyed.

i'll give this four stars cause of the price, it DID fit our baby mattress and was simple to apply however it is a bit thin so I'm not sure how the overall product will last. We just recently begin to lay our 6month old baby in her crib. Fingers crossed that this will support any future accidents.

Hi, thanks for the review. The mattress encasement provides a great barrier for bed bugs, dust mites, and other allergens. It is waterproof but for added comfort and protection, you may want to consider also using a SealyBaby waterproof crib mattress pad, they are easy to take off the mattress and wash as needed.
