The potty chair includes a pretend flush handle with fun sounds and Cookie Monster's encouraging voice to make potty time enjoyable. And with the toilet trainer and step stool, the Cooke Monster 3-in-1 Potty helps make your little boy or girl’s transition to an adult toilet seat even easier.

Q: Does the seat just sit on the base once the tabs are in the holes or does it need to be locked in? It looks like I have it on right and it seems to be on securely but I was looking to see if it's suppose to be locked in place somehow.

submitted by Krissy C - 6 years ago
  • A: Hi Krissy C--that's a great question! Once the waste tub is placed inside the base with the carry handle facing forward, all you have to do is align the seat into the base by inserting the four tabs into the holes. You won't hear a clicking noise. We hope this helps!

  • A: not the best for potty training - easy for the child to take apart the seat and waste tub to spill. Seat needs to lock in for best use of this item

submitted byBella - 5 years ago

Q: Why does this seat not soft close? It makes a loud snap when closing. After the loud noise it falls down very fast.

Q: Can you use Liners for the bowl?

submitted by rinky - 5 years ago
  • A: Hello Rinky, great question. Although the wastecup removes easy for a cleanup, you may also use a liner as a personal preference.

Q: How much waste can it hold (not weight)?

submitted by TauDudeBlobber - 5 years ago
  • A: It's made to hold one time urine and feces from a toddler. It should be cleaned after every use.

submitted byGabrielle - 5 years ago

Q: Why does the seat turn yellow so fast? Other training items don't have this issue. How is it best to clean/wash the seat to prevent the yellow stains from being removed?

submitted by Bella - 5 years ago
  • A: Hello Bella, the cleaning instructions are located on our website at www.kolcraft.com and I I have also listed the cleaning instructions below: 1. Remove the potty seat by lifting upward and clean with soap and water as needed. 2. Remove the waste tub by lifting upward and clean with soap and water. 3. DO NOT immerse the lid into water for your safety and to avoid damaging the electronic unit. Wipe the lid with a cloth instead. If you need additional support regarding your purchase, please contact Kolcraft directly at consumerservices@kolcraft.com.

Q: Does the potty chair make a noise when the child goes potty?

submitted by RunMamaRun - 6 years ago
  • A: That's a great question! The potty makes fun sounds when the handle is turned. Happy potty training!

Q: Does the toilet seat adaptor just sit on the adult toilet seat? Is there any danger of it slipping?

submitted by BarbP - 7 years ago
  • A: Thanks for your question on our Sesame Street Elmo Hooray Potty! This potty seat grows with your child so when your child is ready to use an adult toilet, the seat will transfer to most adult toilets. Simply remove the potty seat by lifting upward and place the seat on the adult toilet ensuring that the tabs fit inside the rim of the toilet. Make sure the seat is level on the toilet and fits snugly within the toilet seat opening without tipping. If you have any additional questions about how to safely use our Sesame Street Elmo Hooray Potty, please contact our Customer Service Team who are happy to help!

Q: I have an almost 2 yo boy and we are looking to start potty training. How is the splash guard on this chair? It's looks a little short and I'm afraid of messes.

submitted by kmac - 7 years ago
  • A: Thanks for your interest in our Sesame Street Elmo Hooray Potty! This potty does have an improved deflector shield for less mess, however, it will not prevent all messes. We hope this helps.

Summary of reviews

The Elmo Hooray 3-in-1 Potty is designed to make potty training fun and engaging for toddlers. Its interactive features, such as the flushing sound and Elmo's voice, capture children's attention and encourage them to use the potty. The opening is too small and there are too many parts to this potty. Our boy loves elmo, and the flushing sound, but he also gets distracted by the red bucket handle and flings the entire toilet into 3 pieces. He also can't sit and pee because the splash guard leaves no room. We had to get a different potty :(

It’s cute and it definitely got my toddler’s attention, but it’s SO impractical. The opening is way too small and the splash guard is totally ineffective. My son just turned two and he’s much too big for this. He has too sit way far back and lean forward for his pee to actually go in the potty and even then, it leaks out in between the seat and the splash guard. Absolutely hate this thing and really wish I could return it, not happy to have wasted $32 on what’s essentially a toy potty.

If your child is tall or a big 2-3 year old like mine this will be too small! My son knows how to take it apart. It’s a cute potty but overall the seat is small. My son could not go to the bathroom without it coming out of front cup. Front cup is small as well. Do not recommend.

The sizing is completely impractical for an average toddler. The potty hole is too far back and not large enough. I could see this working for girls, but definitely not boys.

I purchased this for my daughter a few months back. She’s a huge Elmo fan! She wasn’t quite ready to potty train at the time, but I wanted to have it available for when she was. Well fast forward to now, she is ready to use it and the flush doesn’t work. I’ve changed out the batteries, nothing! Extremely disappointing as for any two year old the flush toggle with the sounds is important. So, I’ll be buying another Elmo seat sadly elsewhere…

Wanted to love it but it ended up not working for our family. My son liked it but it ended up being more like a toy than anything. He would shut the lid too hard and the flushing sound stopped working. He was constantly taking it apart. We ended up using a much more simpler potty that had less pieces and not as much fun to play with.

This potty chair is a great toilet training tool. I love that it has a "flush" function. The only issue I have is my toddler wants to keep "flushing" 🙃, but no fault of the product!!!

I took my daughter to pick a potty out with her birthday money. Her eyes absolutely lit up when she saw "mo-mo" on this potty. She is so excited to hear his voice when she flushes, and it encourages her to sit on the potty. Within a few days, she was pottying consistently and i couldn't be prouder. I also loved that there was no assembly, it was ready to use right out of the box and had batteries already included. It is also very easy to wash which is great for our busy life

The potty hole is too small for my 2.5 year old. He can either do pee or poop but not both because of the small hole. It is advertised for 18+ but didn’t think it would be so small.

Too small. My 2.5 year old can’t use effectively because their isn’t enough space for him to sit and get his pee in the toilet. He is average size and weight. I love the fun flush part but yeah too small.

Elmo Potty Chair 3 in 1

My little was super excited about this chair. I had a regular basic white chair that looked like a traditional toilet that he was uninterested and unimpressed with. He really likes the flushing knob and I really like that the lid closes. He is far more active in the potty training journey now that he has this seat. It’s also really awesome that it can be used on a regular toilet as well as a stool.
