A: Yes, this moisturizer is okay to use on acne-prone skin. It contains tea tree oil which penetrates the skin to unblock glands, disinfect pores and dry out whiteheads, blackheads or pimples. Since you have dry skin, we recommend using this product only about 1-2 times per week or as an everyday spot treatment.

I have acne prone skin so this moisturizer has been great for me! It is gentle but still hydrates my skin. The texture is thicker and don’t need a lot of product to cover my entire face. I love that the packaging is so easy to twist on and off too!

Great on a clean face and after a vitamin c serum treatment (optional but suggested). It does take some work to work-into the skin sense it's lightweight. I normally add another moisturizer on top of it (Jergens, Ceva etc). Face feels clean and it holds for 4-6 hours. I struggle with oilly skin due to preparation but this products helps keep moisture.

I bought this because it was the cheapest moisturizer on the shelf at the time, but it's actually been fantastic. It calms my skin down within an hour or two, so I can put it on after showering and have my face look nicer for work. I use it only when I'm having breakouts, so it's lasted me awhile, too. Maybe about a year, and I'm only halfway through it? My one negative is I don't love the smell, it's very medical smelling, but honestly its effects are well worth it.

Please, please, please I am begging bring back the Bamboo Charcoal Mattifying Moisturizer Spray, it was the best thing I have ever used on my skin, and it smelled so good! I am breaking out and oily and so so sad I cannot find it anymore.

I agree with everyone that is disappointed with the new formula. The old formula cleared my skin, shrunk my blackheads and minimized my breakouts like no other product. I repurchased this just a few days ago and there is already a big difference in my skin. I’m breaking out more and my face feels dryer. Please bring back the old formula for a forehead kiss pleaseeeeeeee🙏🏻

This is still the only moisturizer that works for me without breaking me out. I used the previous formula for 2 tubes worth before it switched. The older was clearly better, this is still really good. I've been getting compliments and being told I look like I'm still in college. I'm 31...when I was 23, people said I looked 37. It works.

It’s been how many years since the new formula came out and you guys still haven’t switched back or offered the old formula too. I’m so disappointed in this brand now. The old formula was amazing, I’ve never used something so nice. I would be willing to pay twice as much for the old formula to come back. This has been my go-to night lotion for over 10 years now. I’ve never found another lotion that hydrates my oily/sensitive without breaking me out or causing irritation. Shea Moisture decided to totally change the formula and claim it’s the same product with a “new lightweight texture”. I’m sorry, it’s awful. I’m pretty sure all the ingredients are listed as the same, but it’s sooooo thin and kinda greasy? I tried to use it as a day lotion, but it doesn’t hydrate my dry spots but still left my T-zone oily. I’ve recommended this product to dozens of people over the years, but it’s unusable to me now. I definitely won’t be repurchasing or recommending this product to anyone unless they switch back to the old formula.

There isn't anything I dislike about it. I've been using it for three days now and I feel my skin is much softer and my pores are getting smaller and also my acne is clearing up :)

Not strong with it. The packaging is great. Just a small container with a screw top lid. The texture is a lotion. Absorption is pretty quick. It works well with my daughter skin and my husband no complaints would buy again.

She is thick, but soaks in nicely. I am always on the market to find something that will not make my eczema flare up, or my cystic acne flare up. It’s tough with moisturizers, but this does a wonderful job even during the warm months.
