A: Hello Victoria! We would not recommend removing eye makeup with this cleanser since it's formulated with menthol and charcoal which can irritate the eyes, we hope this helps!

A: No, this product does not contain salicylic acid but it does contain tea tree oil, benzoic acid, and our african black soap base which all help balance oils in the skin, calm irritation and inflammation for those with acne-prone/troubled skin. We hope this helps <3

This has always been my favorite face wash, I’ve been using shea moisture products for over 10 years and it’s absolutely ridiculous and incredibly disappointing that the pump ALWAYS BREAKS. Foaming hand soap pumps don’t break, any other foaming soap or wash I’ve ever used has never broken unless I’ve dropped it. I LOVE this face wash. I’m so tired of the pump getting stuck or completely not working. Imagine using something for YEARS that you have to buy new every few months and every single one you buy breaks no matter how careful you are. I wish you guys would finally do better. Why does everyone else make a successful foaming soap pump but after YEARS of being in business you guys can’t?

This product is excellent if you can get the pumps to work! 50% of the time the pump doesn't work and it's infuriating so I will not purchase until you fix the issue that you get constant complaints about yet refuse to fix! Stop giving lip service and do the right thing for once! Do not act as if you're unaware.

This is my favorite face wash and I have been using it for years. Cleans well and is gentle on skin. My skin has always been prone to breakouts, even now in my 30s. This product has really helped.

I was fully prepared to write a glowing review when I saw that you all finally replaced the faulty pumps but after the first use I realized nothing had changed except the color of the pump. I'm very disappointed because I actually love the face wash but it seems for some reason you all refuse to upgrade the quality of those pumps.

Pretty sure that noone at this company cares about the opion of the consumer. I have used this product for over a year. Overall a really good product after using Clinique for several years. So here is my one concern, the quality of the packaging, pumps, etc. need to be improved. Since the labeling has changed to "new and improved", the packaging is "CRAP". The last few bottles I have purchased do not work. I had to keep a previous bottle in order to be able to use my face wash. The bottle a purchased a few days ago doesn't even pump as a foam. I would rather pay extra money for a good product with better packaging than to waste money buying the same product over and over again trying to find one that works. For once listen to your customers instead of your products designers or whoever determines what is best for the people you are selling to.

The face wash is alright. The foam makes it feel like I'm not using anything other than water to clean my face. It has made no noticeable improvement on my acne (which I don't have that much of, but some pimples pop up with the fluctuation of hormones). The WORST part of this product is that the pump broke after five uses. So now, to pump out the product, I have to like pull the top up every time, which is the most annoying thing. I DO NOT recommend it.

I was really excited for this product - especially for the natural ingredients. Unfortunately the pump broke after 1 use. It does not "foam". The wash is basically water consistency without the foaming action so now I have an almost full bottle that I'm unable to use.

I have used this product almost 2 years now and it’s the ONLY thing that has ever gotten rid of my acne. However the last FOUR I have bought will NOT foam up. It comes out as a liquid, and it’s not working anymore. It will randomly foam up maybe 4 or 5 times through the entire bottle. When if foams up it works immediately and my face is clear. But when it gets charcoal stuck in the applicator it doesn’t foam and I break out even worse. Idk if the formula was changed, or what happened. I am pretty fed up wasting my money at this point.

I was attracted to trying charcoal to absorb oil, to use in a warm Florida weather. I think this won’t be over-drying in the NY winters, either. It is a simple foaming wash that leaves your face clean with some moisture. For money savers, it takes a long time to get through a bottle, but I am eager to try new cleaners!

This has saved my face from horrible acne! I’ve used proactive for years for cystic acne but I started a new medication recently that has made my acne so much worse! I bought this bc my kids have used some of their other products. It sounded like it would work. Well it did! My skin noticeably improved after just 3dys!!! I had issues with the pump. At first I thought I didn’t spin it the right way. I finally got some out & even though it was a small amount, it still did the job. Today I took the top off and rinsed it really good in hot water while pumping. I filled up a cup with hot water to sit the tube in. After that it’s working perfectly!!! If that had not worked I was just going to put it in my empty foam hand soap dispenser, so worth it either way bc of how amazing it works!!!

I was pleasantly surprised with this. I gave it a whirl because I like charcoal face wash but it’s hard to fine one not “for men.” I love this brands hair masques and it was a good decision to try. At first I was worried it wasn’t doing the job because it’s so fluffy so I didn’t feel it “scrub,” but this is the definition of gentle cleansing. My face feels so smooth and fresh after use and I can tell it’s helping to clean my pores well. Highly recommended! The scent isn’t what I would expect, but I don’t dislike it. It isn’t like I smell it much once I rinse my face.
