This mask healed my acne and redness only 2 months of using I’ve always heard black African soap is good especially because of the skincare benefits in it but when I finally tried it didn’t let me down I would use this atleast 2 every 2 weeks the smell is bareable and the texture feels weird but it’s okay

I was really looking forward to this since it smelled so nice and the patch test on my arm went fine, but shortly after applying it to my face I felt a hot, burning sensation, wiped the mask off (I had it on for less than five minutes) and my face was red, splotchy, and VERY irritated. Most of the redness faded with a cool compress and aloe but the skin is still pink and tender like a sunburn, and the areas are also breaking out in acne now. Do NOT buy

They’ve changed the formulation and it feels watered down during application. My skin also did not feel as good after washing it off compared to the old version. It kinda gets the job done but isn’t as good as it used to be…

This product is wild. After, applying the mask, skin rather quickly felt hot, which switched to a burning sensation. My partner, both have burned faces. How are you allowed to sell the stuff?

Smooth texture. There is a lot of product in the container. It’s smells so good. The only downside is it burns when applied but afterwards your skin feels smooth.

I had a sample packet of this mask, and I generally LOVE shea moisture products. They’re the only brand I use to wash my hair. However this mask, like so many other reviews say, is so bad. It felt fine when I was putting it on, and the texture and smell were nice, but it burned a little at first. I only waited 5 minutes instead of 10, and it was burning so bad I had to take it off. My skin beneath was bright red with harsh lines where I had applied the mask. So now you can tell where I stopped applying and the lines around my eyes. Afterwards it wouldn’t stop burning so I washed my face with my face wash in hopes of removing any chemicals left in my skin. It feels better now but my face is still hot and red, and smells like what nair smells like when you use it on your legs. Scary.

Ive used this mask a couple times but I think this is my last attempt- every time my skin gets BRIGHT RED to the point where it looks like I now have a red face mask on. super weird. luckily no burning sensation but definitely doesn't seem right

I didn’t like the way this made my hair feel. It felt very stripped and dry and straw like after using it. It’s a very muddy feeling mask, which isn’t a big deal, but it didn’t work well for my hair type. The smell isn’t terrible but not very good

This product is great for oily and/or acne prone skin. The fragrance is natural and not overbearing. It isn't overly drying and does not leave my skin feeling tight and thirsty like some clay masks tend to do. Great value as well!

Bought 2 of the mud mask packets at the store and used one tonight for the first time. I initially noticed some feeling of what I thought may have just been “tightness” that quickly turned into a throbbing sensation. I continued to leave it on with the assumption that maybe it was supposed to do this. However, within less than 5 minutes, I couldn’t stand the intensifying throbbing any longer and began to feel very uncomfortable. So, I wiped it away with a damp face cloth (per instructions) to find my face completely inflamed- red, burning, and irritated. After almost an hour, it is STILL red and the throbbing is only slowly subsiding. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

This was my second time using this mask, the first time I used it I loved it and it left my face soft. I used it again today and not even a minute later I had to take it off because my face was on fire and it started to burning. When I washed it off my face was so red you could see where I had applied the mask. I have never had this happen before with any face masks I have used in the past.
