I had to apply a lot to get even a slight cast and it didn’t hold my wavy/curls. It had kind of a relaxing effect. I tried to diffuse and there was so much frizz that I kept having to apply another layer of product. I think it is a nice gel but probably made for people with a stronger and tighter curl pattern. For me a slight breeze ruined my style for the day. I’m still on the search for a replacement for cantu define and shine custard ever since target stopped selling it.

I have clean hair no flakes no nothing however this product which held my curls for 2 days my hair had flakes of gel all in my hair on the ends I touch my hair then it started to snow. not too mention 20 minutes after styling my hair started to frizz. please if you love your curls never get this get big poppa gel it's so much better with actual hold no flakes and the cast breaks within a few hours.

This is so oily. The definition is just ok. Usually I don't need to blow dry my hair when I do a wash and go, but with this product I need to. I wouldn't buy this again. The only upside is the ingredients are seem less toxic than what's on the market.

Smells great but would never buy again. I have wavy/curly hair and no matter how much a put on, once it dries, my hair would be left frizzy like if I didn’t put any product at all. Plus it leaves my hair white flaky. It is super sticky so I had high hopes. Probably the worse gel I’ve ever tried. I had to throw the rest out after multiple tries.

I love using products from the Shea Moisture line, they have clean ingredients, are effective and affordable. This gel is excellent for any type of hair, or any style. The scent isn’t strong at all, dissipates after it dries. Because it is alcohol free, it is not bad for your hair.
