Ok so I just bought the product and tried it- results are nice but the smell is meh at best

Smells exactly like santal 33 which I’m personally not a big fan of but some people might like

New discovered my hair was low porosity. Type 3a curls, long, sensitive scalp. Used this shampoo wit the matching conditioner and my hair and scalp loved it from the first use. It doesn't lather very much and I don't mind the smell that others complain of. I a really prefer the smell to overly scented products.

This product seemed to work well for my hair the first month of use until I began developing severe irritation/burning my scalp. I then tried the scalp moisture line and irritation continued. After comparing the ingredients I realized this line and the scalp moisture line both contain menthol. I discontinued use of both lines since the menthol in both were causing contact dermatitis on my scalp. Perhaps if menthol wasn't an ingredient in this product, it would be less irritating to my scalp and would therefore be a great line.

I really enjoy this shampoo! It doesn’t weigh down my hair and feels very moisturizing which is hard to find! I also enjoy the scent, it isn’t too overwhelming and it doesn’t last for very long! It’s also much cheaper than the salon brand shampoo I was using previously!

Please never discontinue this shampoo. It is the holy grail and is the only shampoo that works for my hair! I used to use another SheaMoisture shampoo/conditioner line but had protein buildup after some of the ingredients changed a couple of years ago. I have been searching for years to find something to replace it and, I can finally say that I found my replacement! The low porosity line is a lifesaver!

This is just the right type of formula my mom and I need for our hair type, and it's so hard to find good, lightweight shampoos for low-porosity hair. But we both have extremely sensitive allergies to fragrances and this shampoo smells SO strong for no reason. It chokes me out. I see on the ingredient list that additional fragrance was added. I would love a fragrance-free formula without any!

Normally I'd have to shampoo & rinse my hair 3 times to feel like it was actully clean and properly washed. After using the low Porosity shampoo, I can cut that down to one shampoo if I'm in a hurry, but I still tend to stick with two. Speeds up the whole process though, it takes maybe 30 seconds or less to build up a lather whereas with other Shampoos it would take closer to 2-3 minutes. The smell is ok... the Grapeseed is definetley pretty strong, but worth it for how easy it makes washing my hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Tea Tree oil in this with the Grapeseed wasn't unpleasant. I'd have to use it a few more times since hair wash day for my boy is only once a week before I can say I'd purchase it again.

It changed my hair within a couple of washes and my family has said my hair looks more moisturized. I recommend this to people with low porosity hair type 2a-3b maybe 3c

I like this shampoo, it absorbs well into my hair and doesn’t feel super dry when I wash it out. I like the way it smells and feels a little minty in my hair.

After this shampoo and conditioner were discontinued I never found anything else that compared or was right for my hair type. I have been using another brand for the last couple of years and my hair is so brittle, damaged etc now. I checked your site recently and was so excited to see the words low porosity and tea tree and baobab. I knew it was my old shampoo back again!! It smells the same too and my hair already feels sooo much better. Please never get rid of this again!! I’m so grateful it’s back!

I love low-porosity shampoo because it let my scalp clean and my hair soft. I do recommend buying the shampoo.

This low porosity shampoo from sheamoisture is so underrated! I normally follow up with this shampoo after using the detox shampoo from Ouai. It’s such a great combination since the detox shampoo strips your hair of any grease and oil while the hydrating shampoo restores your hair. It also leaves a cooling sensation on the scalp which is nice. The consistency is pretty light which lathers up pretty well. I would recommend to anyone with low porosity hair!

It’s only be a month but the difference I feel in my hair, AFTER ONE USE! The dual, dry, and unmanageable hair is gone & I could cry because I tried everything. I don’t see hair fullness YET but I’m hoping bringing my hair back to life will start that process of hair loss! I’m just having a hard time finding it at the stores & having to pay for shipping is thumbs down emoji.

I have low posterity curls so I had high hopes, but as a shampoo it felt incredibly weird on my scalp, hard to move and massage in to truly get that clean scalp. But after using my normal conditioner I noticed my hair felt way more soft than normal and it looked a lot more healthier and shiner. It could be a good shampoo, I’ll keep trying it out.
