These come in handy while working around the house and I can easily hear the kids in the other room, pause my audio, and interact with my family without a lot of fiddling around. They are comfortable, but I don't know if I could wear them all day. It may take some getting used to. I'm working on the multi-device connection and enjoy having both my computer and phone connected. I was very happy to be hands free while chatting on the phone!

These are better than the openRun headset I have but not as perfect as I was hoping for. Sometimes I find the sound to be muffled.

I had to replace a pair of shokz that I lost and upgraded this time around. I love the improvement on sound quality and they are very comfortable. I like to listen to music or podcasts on walls, but I want to be alert to cats or people waking or running behind me. I do find that the max volume is a little low for noise environments. I'm thinking of getting some for my kid who starts college in NYC in the fall.

My 3rd upgraded for Shokz and the sound is great but the minis are still too wide and they can pop off if I’m not wearing a hat and glasses to keep them on.

I have some issues with them charging sometimes. Sometimes I plug the charger in and the light does not come on and they do not charge. Some times they won’t turn on and I have to do a hard reset. Sometimes when running the running app will prompt the music and they won’t start playing the music. Sometimes I will answer calls on my phone and it will connect to the headphones when I don’t want to. I keep switching it back to my phone and then I switches it back to the headphones till I turn the headphones off completely.

For my patients that are hard of hearing I use this with an electronic stethoscope. They can hear it! For people who have never been able to hear with a regular stereotype or who are hard of hearing this combination works!!

In loud environments, it is hard to hear sounds outside this headset. I have several other Shokz, and they produce a more audible sound. There is more base and better sound sound, I will give you that. what is the return peirod on these?

OpenRun Pro vs OpenRun Pro 2

    4 out of 5 stars

I also own the OpenRun Pro. The OpenRun Pro 2 headphones sound a lot better and have more sound options through the shokz app. If I am wearing earplugs at work I need to change the sound to classic mode, which in turn makes the sound quality the same as the original OpenRun Pro. The original OpenRun Pro uses a proprietary magnetic charging cord. I really like this cord because it has a decent length and is easy to hook up to the headphones. The disadvantage to this cord is proprietary if you lose it, you need to order another one. The OpenRun Pro 2 uses the widely available USB-C, though the one it comes with is on the short side. The main button used to play/pause music or answer the phone is smaller on the OpenRun Pro 2, I prefer the larger one on the original OpenRun Pro. Either of these headphones are great if you work in construction. You can converse with people around you, though if you're on a phone call the people around you will think you are talking to them. A lot of construction sites do not allow headphones because you cannot hear the dangers around you. With this type of headphone they have no argument because your ears are not plugged/covered and you can hear the environment around you. It is 2025, I believe I've had my original OpenRun Pro headphones since 2021. I wear them Monday through Friday for about 8 hours a day. I charge them after work on my drive home. I have never had them run out of battery life. The OpenRun Pro 2 headphones are about a month old, I have had zero battery issues so far.

These are the best option for people that struggle with earbuds falling out when working out but don’t want to sweat under big headphones. For me, the mini is a perfect size and they are the most comfortable headphones I’ve used in the gym, ever. It doesn’t have the same audio quality as the others, but it serves a specific purpose for me.

I had a pair of the old (After)Shokz, I believe they were called the Titanium, for years. I was looking to replace them and go a pair of these. They sound great, and are comfortable to wear for long days on the bike. I even use them just for running out for errands. USB-C charging is a huge upgrade over the last pair I had.

    I love my new Shokz!

I had never heard of them before, I saw a co-worker wearing them and asked about them. I bought the custom OpenRun Pro2 with the orange and white, love the case for them too. I could never wear ear buds for long, they made my ears itchy and and the cords always got in the way. I tried cordless but they didn't fit my ears well and still had the itchy ear issue after a short time. I have been able to wear these Shokz most of the day! That is amazing to me. I can now listen to music, pod casts and audio books and it is very enjoyable. I can't use them at the gym, they have their music too loud but I can wear them anywhere else. Thanks for inventing these, a product I didn't even know I wanted. Easy to use function buttons, fast charging, light is either red for charging and blue when charged, easy storage and pretty flexible. Would recommend to anyone.

I bought the mini this time even though my measurements were slightly over the max for them. They fit perfectly. My big issue with my original Open Runs was that the halo strap would bump into things all the time. The mini is close enough to my head that this is not an issue anymore.
