Simms 2 Drawer Modern Shoe Cabinet - Baxton Studio

This took over 3 hours to put together. It was difficult to do by myself, especially when putting in the drawers. There was a small piece broken off when I opened the package. Hopefully it doesn't impact the product in the future.

It's a quick, cheap(ish) storage solution. It arrived with faint shoe prints it. The white paper-like material peeling off already. Opening the doors causes a wear pattern on the doors, it also smudges easily but can't clean it because the paper-like finish will start wearing down. Might recommend this for a dorm or a place where it won't need to last too long. Will be looking for a replacement but sufficient for now.

Very bad quality product( I had to use a different screw to hold the back support piece so it would hold to the side wall), horrible assembling manual, thin shoes like sandals fell through to the bottom door by a gap between the division shells. Holds more shoes than was in the product description. Not worth the price. Let see how long it will last. At least I have 90 days to return in case I found more flaws than positive qualities to this product.

I like the look of this, but it is pretty flimsy. Before I put it together, one piece of veneer came off as I took it out of the box. The directions were okay, but I put one piece on the wrong direction; when I went to take it apart to turn, the screws tore through the unbonded particle board support for the back. It’s finished and looks nice but it sways and one door rubs if the weight shifts too far left. I’ve built lots of cabinets from Target and dressers and drawers from another build your own store, and this does not match the quality of those.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Arrived damaged and it’s made from very poor materials. Tried to put it together and it was literally falling apart from how low quality the materials are. Returned it.

This product is extremely cheaply made, I’m expecting this to last maybe a year before something breaks and we need to replace it. The hinges are plastic, not metal, so as a shoe cabinet, it’s only a matter of time. The edges aren’t clean or crisp. Overall it looks cheap. I expected better.

I read ALL the reviews before buying this "shoe box." Knowing I might have to rig something, I was pleasantly surprised that the only minor installation hiccup was 2 screws splitting the "boards" that comprise part of the drawers. Fortunately the easy fix was to take that apart, apply Gorilla Glue Construction Adhesive(last picture) between the gray hinge piece & the "board." I also used the same on all of the wood dowels. I wear size 10.5/11 and only fit 7 pairs in the shoe box. That is without the divider "board" shown in the ad picture, because all of my shoes are too tall/thick. I tried the double stack and the doors won't close. I might be able to put flip flops in there... The 12 pairs they state is fantasy, unless they are ladies or kids under size 7 AND they can use the divider shelf. I certainly hope it lasts, or it will be a complete waste.

Received this item it was very very hard to put together as it did not have the letters on the pieces as the instruction state. also after it was finally together small cracks was noted in didn't areas i was able to contact Target in wish the rep was very nice and was able to issue me a refund. its a good concept but very poor quality and instruction manual

This thing isn’t bad once it’s put together. But I don’t know what the test of time will show. First off, instructions are horrible. Thankfully I’ve put enough things together to figure it out. But my gosh. Parts. Sheesh. Good luck. My parts were scattered all over in the box. All over In the wrapping paper. Took me forever to find the right pieces. Putting it together. Sheesh. Construction of certain pieces were frustrating revealing the poor quality of this shoe cabinet. It’s pretty once it’s together. But I would never ever tell anyone to buy this thing. Buy something else or from a different manufacturer

I like the design so much ! It fits my small space entrance...it carries good number of shoes ...the assembly was not that easy it takes 2 person to assemble it...and number the screws before you start so you don’t get confused ! If I didn’t do that I would have mixed them up they all look alike ! As for the quality I’m not sure ! Doesn’t look heavy duty at all ! But time will tell ...so far this was the only thing that I found in the market that fits my space ..I hope it survives With my kids !

Good item; only the material is not so excellent... anyway not so bad.

Finally moved in to our new place and got a chance to put this together. After using it for only 3 days, one of the PLASTIC ring broke and fell apart! WHY PLASTIC for the most important part? WHY??? Also it's almost impossible to put Men shoes in them! (I'm a US MEN size 11.5, my wife is US WOMEN 6) My wife women ankle boots won't even fit if they are higher than 6". I think Target should emphasis this is not for BOOTs or MEN shoes/boots

very well packaged and heavy. My husband opened it and said that the opening mechanisms parts were plastic and not steady so the opening mechanism will break down in no time. We returned without assembling.

I like the cabinet. It works well, looks nice and doesn't take up much space. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is due to the directions and the time it took to put it together. They weren't clear enough, at least for me. I had to correct a couple pieces that I didn't realize would show the unfinished side until it was going together. I'd suggest having two people also. It took me over two hours doing it myself.
