Love the ‘simple’ classic lines, the sturdiness,, and it fits perfectly in the space I needed it to fit. Also large enough to actually hold trash! We ordered the slim oval shaped can, nothing battery operated, just a foot pedal that is smooth and quiet for lifting and closing. Very pleased!

We love the clean, simple design of this slim trashcan. We need it to fit into a small space and it was perfect. Before purchasing this one we tried another brand and the step broke. This one has a much sturdier construction. And we like that when you put the trashcan in it hides the top of it so it is unseen. The company also stood behind their 10 year warranty. One part of the hinge broke. They replaced our trashcan for free. You don’t get that much nowadays!

With our new kitchen I needed a better looking trash can and I came to Simple Human, of course. This one is perfect for my new location. My only complaint it how the bags fit, or don’t fit. I have so many bags already and the old can had a full liner with a hole where I could tighten the drawstring. This can doesn’t have that but I figured out how to get enough tension to hold it up. I also liked that the liner would contain any leaks but it was wasn’t often. I hope it is easy to clean any leaks that may occur. But it definitely looks better than my stainless steel one with the new kitchen. The stainless is now in the garage.

I had high hopes for this trash can as I have previously purchased a rectangular step can at Simplehuman. Unfortunately, despite its slim construction, the lid never closes fully and requires you to manually press the lid down to close. I’ve had it for less than a week and it is a bit disappointing.

I had a previous square simplehuman garbage can which I loved and was still functioning well. I moved into a smaller apartment, this one fits much better. Love the quality of these cans. My daughter received my "hand-me-down" simplehuman garbage can. She loves it.

This is perfect for small spaces. I use it to store grocery bags for reuse. The only improvement I would suggest is that a New Bag Holder/Dispenser be designed in the interior like my double sided Simply Human trash can. This way the can and a supply of can liners are self contained and one unit. You don’t have to search in another storage area for the can liners. Happy with the product for my purposes.

This is my second simplehuman 45L Slim Step stainless trash can. I purchased my first one about 10 years ago. I always referred to the first simplehuman trash can as my superhuman trash can. It was that good. After all those years, the hinge broke. It was a great trash can. My new simplehuman trash can is better quality than the original can and it is "nice looking" for a trash can. It has a stainless steel top whereas the first trash can top was plastic. It has a liner rim not found on the first trash can. Plus, the finish is not subject to showing finger prints. A trash can has one function so it must hold up to the day-to-day use without issues over a long period of time. That is why I purchased my second SUPER simplehuman trash can.

I bought this to replace my old simplehuman garbage can. Unfortunately, that was a mistake. This model is very cheap. The can wobbles every time I open it until there's enough trash in it to keep it weighted down. The liner rim doesn't open or close easily. I have to pry it open and once I've changed the liner and closed the top it doesn't sit flush against the can. Either I got a lemon or this is a poorly made product. Very disappointed.
