Nice Circular saw

I bought this because I don't own a 7 1/4" circular saw. It has impressed me as I have used it, and it has more than enough power to do what I need it to do. The adjustments on the saw are easy to use and do not encumber you in any way. It came with a standard 24-tooth ripping blade, which cut through material just fine. I would recommend this saw if you need one for occational use
Still the best!

My old Skil circular saw (30+ years) finally gave up, what else would I replace it with but it’s great grandson!

This saw straight out of the box is ready to go to work. Easily install the blade with great place to store the change out tool right in the frame. Good view of the guides makes easy cutting for plywood or boards. Would definitely recommend this saw for anyone needing a rip saw. Excellent weight and great balance also.

Light and handy. However as a right handed person, I prefer to see the cutting blade. It’s difficult to follow the traced line when the blade is barely visible.

The saw seems to work well so far. nice and light. I was very disappointed to see it did not incude the rip fence (guide). I understand some people never use them but I do often and this the first of many circulars I've purchased over the years that did not include one. I have several from past saws which wore out but of course they do not fit this saw,

Good lightweight saw with ample power. The supplied blade makes nice cuts.
Disappointed

It worked okay for the first hour or so. Then the blade started spinning on the nut instead of cutting. So, I stopped and attempted to tighten the nut, but it wasn't loose. I continued to cut the old, half-rotten deck boards off of my deck and found that it would stop cutting if I tried to maintain a steady pace. I instead had to cut smaller sections and at a much, much slower speed. Several weeks, of not using the saw, later when I went to demo my front deck, which was mostly not rotten, it began to spark, over-heat, and smell like burning electrical. I had to stop using the saw and switch to my grandfather's old craftsman saw from the 70s that still cuts like it's new. Very disappointed, I bought this because I thought Skil was a reputable brand.

I thought a rip fence would be included

I would have given 5 stars, but I just thought a rip fence would have been included along with the saw. Since I do use a rip fence a lot and I gave away my old circular saw to someone who needed one when I order this one. Now I need to find a rip fence for this saw. Other than that I am happy with the purchase.
Extremely dissatisfied -- feels poorly constructed

Extremely dissatisfied. The housing and blade guard are made mostly out of plastic and, while the saw feels very light, it also feels somewhat unstable when using it. I find it difficult to cut a very straight line. I also find the bevel and depth lock adjustments difficult to operate and tighten. The included wrench to change blades is thin and I find it hard to use. The blade wasn't square out of the box, so I had to adjust it manually before use. Overall, I feel the saw has a poor construction. I've been using it sporadically, over a year, for DIY projects. I look forward to getting a different, more solid, saw.

The depth adjustment lever won't fully tighten, so the foot won't stay locked in place. It looks like there should be a way to adjust this but there's no information on how to do it and it's not obvious.

I found this circular saw performed well within my expectations. I actually found the safety button on the power switch an excellent addition to the product. It certainly vital when you’re adjusting the depth of the saw and you cannot accidentally power the unit on.

I’m happy with the drill but even happier I was smart enough to buy a new blade because the one it came with was dull after four cross cuts of thin poplar.
