Q: Does it work well on carpeting? Will it go up a slope ( angle of 45 degrees or less) on carpeting? And will it go up a slope on wood or vinyl floors?
submitted by genie7 - 3 years ago
A: This will work on some carpet. The shorter the better. It was designed and teested on elvel surfaces not angled.

Q: How do you get these 3 little batteries in the slot -- It's like impossible!
submitted by lksue - 3 years ago
A: Put two in. Push those two towards the spring to compress the spring. Jam the third one into the gap (away from the spring of course). Insert the 3rd at a slight angle.

Q: My item is not working, I’ve been replaced the batteries but it will go for a few seconds and then stop and make these weird clicking noises. Please tell me how to fix, just bought it.
submitted by Not working - 3 years ago
A: It sounds like the unit may be defective. The toy should stop and flash the lights as part of the normal rotation but should not make any clicking noises unless the wand is prevented from moving by the cat. The customer should return / exchange. Thank you!

Q: What size batteries does it take?
submitted by OnLakeOntarioNY - 5 years ago
A: The Race ‘N Chase takes 3 LR44 for the mouse & 2 AAA for the remote

My cat liked this and it was fun for a day until it stopped working. Maybe it's the batteries but should I really have to replace the batteries on a brand new toy one day after buying it?

My cat loved it but when the battery died and I had to change them I couldn't get the back of the remote. When I finally did and took the battery out the whole battery compartment started coming apart the spring to hold the batterys, the metal plate very cheaply made had to throw it away

Save your $15, and do not get this toy. Wish I had looked at reviews prior. Worked for maybe less than 30 minutes, the wheels aren’t balanced so it won’t push forward. And the connectivity of the remote to the toy is extremely low even after changing batteries. Cat definitely likes it but has lost interest now that it doesn’t move properly. Get a better one!

Worked for a solid half hour, but wasn’t moving smoothly, kept jolting. Now you click the remote and you can hear the click in the toy for it to move but it just sits there. Don’t waste your money.

This toy kept stoping and then continuing and it isn’t fast at all. After a few days the toy stopped working completely, when I pick it up to see if does run it does work and run smoothly but when I set it down to check if it’ll work it just won’t hold up

Bought this for my cat Gwen but not even 3 minutes after using it, it stoped moving and jolted a little every 8 seconds. Not worth the money, I’d skip and find a better more long lasting toy for your fur baby.

This toy worked for a few seconds and then stopped. I was able to change the controller batteries however I was not able to open the compartment to change the batteries for the mouse so I’ll never know if that was the issue. I’m returning this toy and do not recommend it at all.

Well my cat seemed kind of interested in it at least. He's not super playful so anything that can at least get his attention is a plus for me. However, the remote range is really short, and sometimes the clicker doesn't work. It's also very loud, and while I'm not sure if cats know we're controlling the toy because of the sounds, I feel like it's a detriment to the toy, maybe. Idea is great, execution is flawed. Also kind of price-y for what it actually does

My cat likes the mouse (picks it out of the toy box) but it stopped working shortly after I got it. The screw that holds the battery comparment closed is too small and has gotten reemed so I cannot replace the battery. Would love to contact the manufacturer but don't know how.
