There is no question of stripping the bottle with this. It was so easy to put together and use. I love that I'm able to use the original thick liter bottles as well.

This is a replacement for a soda stream we purchased only a couple years ago. My wife uses it to carbonate water for waffle making as well as the kids make bubbly drinks (oj, lemonade etc). It's pretty light duty in terms of appliance use. Her first comment was "let's hope this one lasts. " Yes, we like it, and fingers crossed it will give us years and years of use.

Had to learn to overfill bottles with water passed the marking to prevent water spewing out during aeration. Seems the stem to too short to aerate when bottle has water only to the marked line. Also, no “burps” during aeration or to signal it’s ok to remove. Disappointing.
