Q: what's the difference between this and the e-terra model?

A: The E-Terra requires electricity and has a light, both of which limit the machine's use. And it is more expensive. The Terra works beautifly, doesn't require a plug-in or increase electrical use.

A: Hi there! We recommend pushing the carbonating button up to only 5 times when using your machine. Once flavoring is added, we do not recommend recarbonating.

A: Oh, you’ll know. When low, mine takes more C02 to attain the level of carbonation I prefer. Btw- I’ve had my machine for at least 15 years. Since they first came out and it is still doing great. The newer models may have an indicator.

Q: Can i put other drinks than water in the bottle?

A: You really shouldn’t. I’ve seen people blow the O rings inside that prevents C02 from escaping from the water bottle. When carbonating anything other than plain water, the C02 molecules will adhere to sugars etc and expand them. Same goes with adding the flavorings. Add slowly bc it will spew like a kids science project if that concentrate is added to quickly.

It's nothing glamorous, fairly simple, no frills; if that's what you're looking for it's perfect. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, it easily carbonates a bottle of water. CO2 cylinder exchange is easy, securing and removing the bottle is easy.

Simple to set up, simple to use! Only complaint is a 60L CO2 cylinder does not make 60L of carbonated water. Using 3 "pumps" for each 1L bottle, we got 15L out of the first cylinder. Kind of frustrating.

I held off from purchasing a soda stream for years, and years. This year I finally decided to give it a try. My husband drinks so many cans of carbonated waters every day; it was getting exhausting and expensive constantly restocking. I gifted this to him as an early Christmas gift. He wasn’t confident he’d like it, but soon changed his mind. It’s so easy to use, and super quick. I don’t mind not adding flavor but my husband prefers it, so it’s nice there are many flavors available to add. It’s portable since it doesn’t have a cord so we can take it camping if we want, or move it all around the kitchen. This has saved my wallet and back from the pallets of canned carbonated waters!!

We love sparkling water, and the Terra is a simple non-electric way to get it. The basic starter kit is awesome. We even take this places when we travel or to friends' places. Usually add a little lemon juice/slice or splash of pomegranate juice. I'm not sure the "quick link" attachment is much advantage over just screwing on the old canister, and is kind of clunky and more complicated than needed, but it's fine and getting used to it.

After deliberating for far too long, I bought the machine and I love it! Purchase process was quick and easy, shipping was faster than initial predictions. I really like that I can customize the amount of fizz per drink. I've never been this well hydrated in my life. Get a soda stream, you won't regret it!
