    Received this machine as a gift. It got me through some 2-3 years, but the maintenance is especially demanding for this model. Constant issues with barcodes, needs descaling every minute. Called support and even they couldn't crack the issue after a VIDEO chat. Buy a different model.

    DONT BUY- BUY A PLUS INSTEAD. I have had 2 Vertuo Next machines in 3 years. My current machine is broken and out of the one year warranty period. There is a class action lawsuit in progress for the machines because they notoriously fail. Now I am going to buy a Vertuo Plus because I have a ton of nespresso pods and don't want another Next.

    I am done with this machine and I am done with Nespresso. We have been having ongoing issued with this machine starting with the lid not staying closed when the machine is idle. The machine making noises when brewing like it is grinding sand. Red LED blinking preventing the machine from brewing, requiring the machine be unplugged from the wall. Then there is the frustrating support from Nespresso. We have provided photos and videos of all these issues. Had numerous online chats. No matter, Nespresso would require video calls. So we did them. Spent exasperating hours with support person repeating a support rhetoric and trying to always end-up in us at fault for not descaling the machine (which we do). Not regularly water flushing the machine (which we do), Not buying Nespresso descaling fluid (which we do). SO WE ARE DONE! Machine going bye-bye and we will never have to buy these overpriced pods.

    I should have learned my lesson from the first machine that leaked water 14 months after purchase. Nespresso was happy to sell me another machine rather than replace that one. This machine is a waste of money. The coffee is barely warm. On certain pod sizes, the machine vibrates violently to the point that the cup falls off the machine and spills coffee everywhere, and it sprays coffee out the back of the unit. For the price of the machine and the ridiculous prices for the pods, I would expect this to have some above-average product quality. We shouldn't have to make machine repairs as a consumer.

    Makes great coffee but rotating pod spinner gets stuck, really stuck between cups! Have to take a towel and manually turn it until it loosens, then it can be used again. Again, coffee is fantastic, but machine is a really pain. Originally went thru all the flush and error codes with online help, but now we just use a towel, open the lid and reach in and manually get it to turn. Not easy, but works.

This machine almost does it all, but its overall performance and features makes up for its lacking. (It basically is not compatible with the 12oz Alto capsules).     I was given this machine as a gift only two years ago and I was so excited. Unfortunately, it stopped reading the capsules only a few months after owning it. I had to jump through multiple hoops to get to working again (rinse, factory reset, unplug, wipe down, sing to it, etc.). Over the past two years this issue happened every few weeks. I was meticulous about cleaning, descaling, and keeping software up to date. When it works it’s great but it is the most frustrating machine I have ever owned. I had to call support twice. The last time they were very unhelpful and wanted me to use a brand new capsule to brew to troubleshoot (sure I’ll throw more money in the trash!). Before this machine, I had a Keurig for 12 years without issue! I’ll be going back to Keurig.
