SOG PowerLock Oxide Stainless Steel Folding Knife 18 Multi Tool Pliers with Screwdrivers, Crimper, Can Opener, Gripper, and Cutter, Black

Ill start by saying i am a diesel mechanic, trucker, and farmer. I am absolutely loat without it. I can flip it open one handed like a butterfly knife with ease. I got a hand made thick leather sheath to match the sheath for my flashlight. Its see many years of use and abuse, i have broke one jaw, one screwdriver, both of which i could replace myself. One time however i poped the rivets, sog gave me a knew one no question asked. And that new one has been a few years back and i can hardly go without it. I literally bought another just in case i break this one so i dont need to go without for a week. But again this is daily hard use. I use the pliers the most, the #2 Phillips quite a bit, and the flats get used as pry tools a lot. The knife is just a backup for me. Overall i am very impressed. I spent 80 bucks on a custom very heavy sheath because i have mo intentions of switching brands.

Beyond happy with the purchase. The needle nose type pliers making grabbing pins from weapons super easy.

This my second of these tools. My first (EOD model) lasted over 10 years before I broke the pliers through abuse.

Very stiff mechanical joints, not easy to select tools

I love the design of this multi tool. I just wish it was a little stronger made. I can squeeze the handles in a half an inch just by the metal flexing. Also the fit and finish was subpar. My knife blades were not sharp and everything seemed to have a rough edge where everything appears to me stamped out of metal. At least they should offer a version of this with thicker metal and where somebody assembles it by hand and smooths up the surfaces. I know it would cost more but it would be a nice touch. They should do this design more justice by making a quality version seeing that they have the patent on the gear pliers

I bought this tool about a month and a half ago. The Pouch & tool has fallen OFF! my belt 4 times already. I can't use this tool anymore. I'm afraid that the next time I'm wearing it on my belt that it'll fall off and get LOST.!!

I would have given a a 5 STAR review. However the Nylon Pouch has a CRAPPY Plastic belt clip. Only after 3 days of wearing this pouch did it start falling off my belt. Which is great for YOUR company since after all you are selling tools. NOT POUCHES. The sooner I lose this one you'll hope I will buy another.

This is my 2nd sog, and i love it. I wouldnt buy anything else but a sog.

Just retired as a fireman and I can say this tool lives up to the SOG reputations quality and performance. The blades are excellent along with all the tools held within the tool the best part was the pliers and wire cutters the pouch is connected to my turnouts and are always close at hand when needed.

After a couple of modifications this could easily be a multitool to end all other multitools. Instead of choosing between the v cutter or the scissors, I ordered the v cutter version and a set of scissors and replaced the knife in mine (making it TSA friendly, plus I usually carry a dedicated knife or box cutter making the knife in the multi tool unnecessary). Then, after repeatedly loosing the spring to the socket adaptor, I rebent a thicker one from some scrap wire and haven't lost it since (and sockets fit much more securely). I also had to dremel a groove into the tool cover so I could make use of the socket adaptors 90 degree setting with the cover closed. Why this isn't standard is beyond me. But the biggest failure is the pliers. Sure they grip everything like an alligator with a bad attitude, but the wire cutters keep chipping out. At first I thought it was a fluke and sent them back to SOG for replacing. I got my tool returned VERY promptly only to take on another job where I needed wires cut and lo and behold, more chipped pliers. I could return them for repair but it will just continue everytime I use the pliers. If the pliers were D2 or some other substantial steel It would be well worth an additional $50-100. However if they choose to continue with the weak pliers It'd be nice to replace the rivets with domed hex bolts so along with the other tools the pliers would also be replaceable.

Bought after trying a competitor’s that didn’t hold up. I use it every day at work and love it.

I got this as a Christmas present and I could not be happier. I was also looking at the leather man surge. I did my research and the SOG has better wire cutters and more of a fine point pair of pliers. Also is able to open much wider to get a better grip on those bigger pieces of metal.

I have used the SOG Power lock since 2001, in and out of active duty.(U.S.M.C. 0311) They are top quality and the tools are all user serviceable and interchangeable. The customer service is second to none, as is the durability of the power lock. I've used issued Gerber's and Leathermans (which are very good) but the SOG Power lock is a superior tool. Thanks for making such a reliable tool! Neeser.

got as gift is one of best tools out there i had an older sog paratool this replaces a Gerber 07400 DET Multi-Plier 600 that i had for 12 years its just as good as the Gerber design in some ways easier to use then the Gerber
