Q: Does it spray water only in a straight line or does it spray side to side? For what length of time does the water spray, and is there a recovery period?

A: This will spray in the area where it detects the animal. It is adjustable if needed. The valve is opened and the clicking noise is heard for approximately 5 seconds before the reactivating. It has a 120 detection Angle, approximately 10 meters / 32.8 feet, Adjustable. Monitored area Approximately 60m/645.8 sq ft.

Q: will it work without batteries? how long will the solar source hold its power? And will the battery power kick in when the solar power doesnt?

Q: How long will the batteries in it run. Will it last until morning ? I am try to keep dogs off my yard and they seem to show up at all he ours of the night and early morning and I was wondering if it will last throughout the he night ?????

A: Depends on the Brand batteries you get and how often the unit gets triggered on Motion Sensitivity. Can be a week of a month or a bit more. Hard to determine when batteries are being used.

Q: It says it repels by "touch"....I'm assuming that is wrong since it's motion activated?? Also, is it adjustable in height? I need it for rodents, not larger creatures. Thanks!

Bought my first bird-X four years ago. It was a game changer for keeping geese and their babies off my lake front lawn. Used to spend 30 to 60 minutes cleaning the lawn, now it’s poop free. So successful my neighbors changed their techniques, and now we all have bird-X along the lakefront. Perfect product offered a perfect solution. So happy with it I bought a second as a back up.

Very vague instructions and could not set the motion correctly. It kept going off with no movement and not going off when I would walk right up to it. Called their customer service and was asked to leave a message which was never returned.
