I wanted to get the best earbuds I could afford for use at the office. They worked for maybe a month or two, and then the left earbud just stopped connecting. I cleaned everything up, disconnected and re-paired them with my phone and still it doesn't work. Once in a while they will connect but I'm afraid to turn them off for fear of not being able to get the left earbud to work again. I wish I would have purchased protection for these, but since they were Sony, I assumed they would at least work for a year. Will not buy again.

I bought Sony WF-1000XM5 a week ago and can't stop listening to music with them. Up until now I used wireless Master and Dynamics and wired Sure. I think Sony WF-1000XM5 is in a class of its own. Perhaps the noise cancelling can be improved a bit but all else is perfect.

Bought these for my bf for Christmas and he loves them!! I sit at a desk all day so I own the xm4 headphones but my bf is always on the move so these earphones are perfect as they stay in place all day and do not fall out. He says the sound quality is great and I can confirm this man cannot hear a word I say with the noise cancelling. Def recommend for someone who wants them for running, exercising, or looking to tune out their significant other.

I recently purchased these to use while working out at the gym. I bought the silver color which is actually more of a taupe color and looks great. The sound is outstanding and the earbuds look upscale. However, I could not get a good fit with any of the supplied earbud tips (might just be the shape of my ears, I don't know). As a result, I could never achieve the promised noise cancellation and the earbuds frequently slipped out of my ears. I would give these 5 stars for sound quality and finish, but in my case only 1 star for good fit (hence the overall 3 star rating). Also, the Sony app seemed somewhat cumbersome when pairing the buds to my phone. I also don't know how well the foam tips hold up compared to the silicone tips that most earbuds seem to have. I'm sorry to say that I had to return these and will try another brand. Hopefully your fit will be better because the sound quality really is exceptional. Top rated earbuds per Consumer Reports.

Bought these on christmas and love them 10/10 amazing i use them in the gym and the bass and crisp sound is perfect and they have the simplest and easiest touch controls ive ever seen and excellent battery life only got them down to 79% after 6 hours of use

Within a month of purchase, the left earbud broke. Very low volume and static/buzzing/popping. Didn’t fit well in my ears no matter which of the sizes I used, and touch controls were too sensitive, especially in dry weather. Had hair that went over my ears at the time, which also wasn’t a great combo. Sound was decent for the short time they were working correctly

As the title says. I can't identify any way this version is superior to version 4. The battery on version 4 went after a few years, and so I bought a new pair. The noise cancelling seems less effective , and they don't stay on my ears as well (perhaps I'll get used to the latter, who knows). Have only used for a week but this is my initial impression. Week one of my previous pair, by contrast, I was really impressed. Also, it's tricky to get the headphones out of their box due to the shape. Again, the last shape was better for this.

My Airpods failed after 4 years these replacement Sony earbuds are far superior with excellent sound and better features. The only slight issue is the difficulty of removing them from the case as the surface makes them difficult to grip

I use the earphones both for music and for calls and I'm satisfied with quality for both the uses. I also use them during gym workout(running and other exercise) and pretty pleased with it. It seemlessly connects with multiple devices and also able to detect change in motion

I read reviews before buying-"hard to get out of case".. They are tight but easy really. "Too glossy" really? They are classy to look at, easy to use, connect and use... but the sound and features are brilliant. Am I pleased I bought them? You bet. They are my new friends who talk, sing and play in my ears with all the joy I hoped for.

The sound and noise canceling are superb. The reason why I bought WF-1000MX5 after I bought MX4 is because the battery on my left earbud started not working after more than 2 years. Hope this won’t happen with MX5. The design of MX5 is much better compared to MX4, as MX5 are smaller and lighter and don’t feels heavy in your ears like MX4.
