DO NOT BUY! I don’t even want to leave a one star for this product. since this was purchased on christmas, my 3 year old son leaves it on before bedtime and every night there is a grown man speaking into the walkie talkie and there are numerous occasions where my son comes to me and tells me there’s someone talking in it. Why is it so hard to find a decent toy for our babies to play with safely. this toy is very terrifying for kids to have and for the parents to feel scared to let them have it. please do yourself a favor and do not buy this. it’s not worth it.

Thought my 2 year old family member would be able to play with this. What ended up happening was that on mutiple occasions the walkies would get into the 911 dispatch. You would hear several times emergency responders answering or in the background. It was alarming.

I didn’t like this toy only because my son came up to me & told me he heard someone say hello I didn’t believe it at first, but later that day i heard someone say hello sounded like a grown man talking. It freaked me & my son out he’s only 4 years old.

Just a warning that we heard an adult man talking on the walkie talkies asking if “anyone there?”. Ensure to supervise your children when playing with these. Otherwise my children enjoyed them but they are now scared of the “walkie talkie man” and don’t play with them.

We currently have a very upset 3yo after we had to take these away from her. We discovered they use the same frequency as the dispatch for our local fire department when we overheard an alarm. The alarm was followed by a dispatch call for units to the nearby high school for a suspected OD, which was quite unsettling for me. A call dispatching units to a fire several blocks away came a few minutes later. My daughter wasn't phased in the least and didn't understand why we would need to confiscate them. We're all disappointed as she was so excited to receive them, but we obviously don't want to risk her interfering with important emergency calls.

As others have said, my 3 yr old left it on, and we heard a very appropriate late night conversation from construction workers across the street. He tried telling them to switch to a different frequency, but they didn't pick him up at all. He heard them, but they didn't hear him. Only let kids use with adult supervision.

My kiddos love these and run around the house pretending to be the Spidey team. Based on others reviews, we do make sure they turn them off when they’re not being used and both (4 and 1 year old) have actually been great at doing just that, and we haven’t had any issues picking up anyone else or anything like that.

Do not buy!! My son had one of the walkie talkies in bed with him and I heard someone talking over the monitor. Come to find out, it was someone coming through the walkie talkie. Scared the crap out of me. Throwing these away ASAP.

These were fun to use and my son loves them. But this evening my husband and I were watching TV and both of them started ringing really loudly with static and neither of us were touching them. After reading the other reviews I see they can pick up other signals around which is not ok.

My son left the walkie on and it was picking up a semi truck driver and other dispatch conversations! I was shocked because it’s not supposed to go that far. Definitely scary if in the wrong hands and hearing inappropriate conversations.

At first I thought these were great! My kids loved them and they worked well. But just the other night we noticed grown men talking through the walkie talkies I guess it was picking up other frequencies so for that reason I give it 3 starts and just decided to throw them away for safety reasons.

As others mentioned, my 4 year old got these for Christmas and loved it but within minutes of using them several times, a grown man’s voice talks back. It’s super creepy and we won’t be using them again. It must be picking up other radio’s frequencies but it’s off putting knowing other people can hear my child using it.
